SCRIBE

What is a Scribe? Most of us reading this today are Scribes. A scribe, according to the Webster Dictionary means as a historical term, it means this:-Scribe-1, A person who copies out documents especially one employed to do this before printing was invented. (informal definition) 2. Informal term for a writer or journalist. 3. A sharp pointed Awl for wood, or metal to be cut.

Daily Wisdom Word Definition: Scribe-1. A person who writes informally, from a humorous standpoint. Some synonyms for this word are penman, scribbler, copyist, scrivener, scriber.

I deliberately picked an informal word today, because yesterday’s daily wisdom word brought out many serious comments so I thought we would choose a more light hearted word today.

I found this word interesting and different. Honestly, before today, and thumbing through the Webster Dictionary, I had heard this word, but didn’t know exactly what it meant. It should be interesting to see the poems and quotes we get using this daily wisdom word, which is both historical and informal.

Scribes are less serious writers, some even called scribblers. We all scribble from time to time to release frustrations at work when we are waiting on information, holding on the phone for a caller, if we happen to have a pen in hand.

Our other definition is a copier and as writer’s of course this is part of what we do when we write something we want to save an extra copy in written form.

We are writers and we love what we do no matter what form of outlet we choose. Most of us are Poets writing poetry or quotes, and some of us are novelists as well. Some of us write short stories, but regardless, of which one of these things we write, another interesting fact, is it takes both sides of our brains to write novels, short stories and Poetry; the creative side, (right) and the logical side, (left). We as who take our writing seriously, such as myself, can really appreciate this fact because it is actually good for our brain and stimulating to write, creatively.

This website, when finished, will allow bloggers, Poets, and even self-publishing Novelists, to post and there will be a page for each of these diversities and you will have the option to add your photo as well as post from this website to twitter, facebook, and google plus. There will also be a page for Quotations, and a page called, “Community Corner” for Community Information. I had an excellent suggestion yesterday, to tag one of us, and pick a song to write to as well, we will have one day of the week. Also, we will have “Picture Prompts” which is similar to other Poetry Sites. (I had better cc this to my IT guy so he can get to work, Lol). Please bear with us as we continue constructing the site, and any suggestions any of you have are warmly welcomed.

In the interim, please follow me at Samanylize@twitter.com if you want to post your work there, but the community page is the best place to post now, as we are finished with the interaction page which allows us to communicate and comment to other Poets. Thank you so much to all of my followers and friends and family for their support with this project, and I am grateful God has blessed me with such wonderful encouragement and support.

Have a beautiful and blessed day. (this post will be copied to facebook and google plus as well.)
