This is something my counselor and I recently talked about in a grueling session. For new readers that may not know, I have clinical depression and have been seeing a counselor years.

Souls are the essence of who we are. I believe souls originate from God, and return to him when our physical bodies die. Another way to put it is we never die. This is a wonderful way to look at souls because it offers hope to us and lessens the fear of death knowing we will still “be”.
