As you celebrate the holidays, don’t forget to celebrate YOURSELF.

As I write this, Christmas is just a few days away. All around my neighborhood and nearby grocery stores, I see some of the brightest and beautiful lights. And that’s certainly a great feeling.
THE HOLIDAY SEASON CAN BE STRESSFUL OR FUN, AND IT OFTEN IS ABOUT ACCEPTANCE. IF OUR GROWN CHILDREN HAVE SPECIFIC WAYS THEY WANT THINGS TO BE AND HOW THEY WANT THEM TO BE, THEY ARE NO LONGER CHILDREN AND WE CANNOT CHANGE THEM BY ACTING LIKE CHILDREN OURSELVES. ACCEPTANCE OF THESE DECISIONS CAN BE KEY TO SO MUCH OF THE HAPPINESS WE EXPERIENCE WITH OUR CHILDREN WHO ARE NO LONGER UNDER OUR GUIDANCE AS THEY ARE ADULTS THEMSELVES.

It was Thanksgiving yesterday and Christmas is coming up. Warm wishes, greeting cards, time with family are all either already here and/or on the horizon. Think about the spirit in the air for a second.
Now think about what it would be like if that spirit was alive and vibrant all year long. Is that even possible?
