maybe this is what a withdrawal feels like
When the paper is missing between your fingers and the world is crushing you
The discomfort of the addiction is comforting
Inviting me to fall snare again
Maybe this is what withdrawal feels like
It feels like betrayal and longing and what others call “feeling blue”

Endless rhymes and not enough time
You keep drifting INTO my mind
This heartbreak makes me sigh
Your old loving arms still have my heart in a bind

I’m so changed I used to sing and now nothing sounds right
My poetry has never been so broken
These unfinished words are made only because you left my life
I miss being so happy then.
But my love will come again,
I just hope that when the real one comes
It won’t be you then
I’m sick of being broken more than once
