Restless

by: {Name (First):1.3} {Name (Last):1.6}

A long long day of trials with only a handful of triumphs,
Confusion, and heartbreak.
I find the darkness and I choose not to fight.
I rest my soul and close my eyes
My attempts to die is all for naught
For he will awaken me and erase all thought.
I become restless as I year for sleep
But that is something he will not let me keep.

I glare at this boy and turn away with a “humph”
But fail as a grin makes my lips quake
In his kindness I choose not to fight.
My restless soul and tired eyes,
Flicker back and fourth with a hopeless thought
Does his concern reflect upon if I will weep?
With a kiss mixed of goodnight and goodbye,
I return to a restless sleep.
