  1. A Deeper Love

    Mountain cloudscapes sky us
    inviting empyreal visions
    rising around desert heat
    they catch our breath.

    Beyond my space
    you share a deeper love
    I’m bound to our play
    waiting till I learn why.

    So I climb day’s light
    struck by your vision
    clouds melt into stars
    as we fall into night.

  2. Like Cinderella I waited
    for love’s true touch-
It never came. So, I made
    diamonds my words on that
    so lonely tranquil tower.
Ariel so kind aired it all
    to ears whose taste for
    more located me.
    They begged to save me
when I had already saved me,
I made peace with the loud
    bangs of silence and desire
    for a lover-
    waiting to be saved
had become the prison I knew not.
    With a bride’s pride I came down
and all I could see was a a
huge cloud of dust behind me
    saying: wait for me!

  3. Blessed is what I am
    To have made it through
    Full of gratitude
    Glory be to God
    And only him
Because I would not be anything
    Without my king.
There is nothing money can buy
His precious blood has covered my heart and my opened my eye’s.

        • I understand. It happens to me too. But, most times I try to get to the source. You see, for every poem there’s an emotion backup. A memory, idea or a tiny subconsciously strand of feeling that may be invisible.
I don’t know if you understand me. Don’t know if I understand me☺️

          • I don’t plan any of my writes. I think of a word and everything falls out of my mind. For music prompts, it’s all about the vibe. For BLM, I thought about Billie Holiday’s song, ‘Strange Fruit’. For other things, it’s my emotional response. For my typical run-of-the-mill, melancholic writes, those come from deeper inside because of my personality (INFJ).

          • I suppose it’s truly how I feel. I’m greatful to God for the blessings I have as far as life goes. You can not put a price on time and memories. Most people view life in material things where I view life in time.
