WRITERS RETREAT

Writers Retreat by Lloyd Cole.

Settling the dispute between the art of writing and relationship with others may be quite unsettling most times. As writers, we are always faced with what to write and this singular state creates a huge space in how we relate to people dear to us. Just so you, the song I want to feature on Daily Wisdom Words is on repeat. I just have to leave it that way so I write what I am supposed to write.

If you are reading this I’d like you to know that there is utmost need to balance your art and love life as a writer. Ideas may come when your spouse needs you. They may knock on your door and leave your hands and mind lost to thoughts you cannot but want to write down. I know! The question, big question, is how do you write and love? Can you answer that question? Tell me, can you?

You can’t. LikeĀ Samantha LeBeouf would gladly say to me. “Prioritize. What should come first? God. Then family…” and whatever you feel is necessary and valuable enough to fill the third position as a writer. Do you know the answer to the question now? I know you do.

My name is Abuh Monday Eneojo. This isĀ Daily Wisdom Words Music Prompt and I will be your host.

  1. Writers retreat
    Natures treat
    Get on your feet
    The outdoors, the indoors
    I’ve told you before
    The world is your inspiration
    Your mind is your treat
    Now take a seat
    Poetry is your freedom
    Poetry is your retreat

  2. It’s a sunny morning
    she sits down to write
    the dogs are playing
    butterflies flying
and the kids are in the yard.

    Procrastinating how to start
gotta have faith and not fall apart
pencil in one hand she begins
    to write what she sees
    her vision
just the beginning of beautiful poetry. -Amberdawn (CRG)
