THEY ARE MEANT ONLY TO BE USED BY THE ONE WHO HOLDS THE KEY. A DOOR THAT THE KEY WILL ONLY OPEN A DOOR FOR US IF WE ARE EMOTIONALLY READY TO LEARN THE SECRETS IT HOLDS. 

TO OPEN THIS DOOR MEANS WE FIGURED OUT HOW TO USE THIS KIND OF KEY. WOULD BE BENEFICIAL\\ WHEN USING IT  ONLY IF WE ARE READY.

 WE MAXIMIZE ON THE ITS POTENTIAL SECRETS ONLY WHEN WE ARE READY TO USE THOSE SECRETS.  THIS PARTICULAR KEY IS BEST SERVED PUT UP IN A SAFE PLACE UNTIL WE ARE READY TO USE IT.

PERHAPS IT ONLY WORKS ON A DOOR HAVING MORE DOORS BEHIND IT THAT ALLOWS US TO  LEARN AND BUILD OFF OF EACH PIECE OF KNOWLEDGE GAINED FROM THE PREVIOUS DOOR THIS KEY OPENED. 

TO UNDERSTAND THE CONTENTS BEHIND A DOOR HAVING A LOCK AND KEY TO BEGIN WITH MEANS WE SHOULD ONLY UNLOCK IT WHEN WE ARE READY TO DO SO,  WE MUST UNDERSTAND WHAT IS BEHIND THE FIRST DOOR TO MOVE TO THE NEXT DOOR.  WHAT IS BEHIND EACH DOOR BEFORE IS BEST SERVED WHEN WE ARE READY TO USE THE CONTENTS IT UNLOCKS.

SOMETIMES A KEY ONLY WORKS WHEN WE ARE READY TO FACE THE SECRETS THAT ARE LOCKED AWAY LIKE A REPRESSED MEMORY.

I AM USING A KEY AS AN ANALOGY BUT THE SAME THING STILL HOLDS TRUE.  THE KEY WE USE, NO MATTER THE SHAPE, A KEY UNLOCKS A DOOR TO A ROOM WITH A GIFT OR SECRET.  THE KEY IS USED ON THE DOOR IT OPENS  ONLY WHEN WE ARE READY. 

THE FEAR WE UNLOCK MAY REQUIRE A CERTAIN MENTAL, PHYSICAL, OR EMOTIONAL STRENGTH TO APPRICIATE THE CONTENTS.  FOR EXAMPLE, THE KEY IS ONLY USED IF WE  NEED THE CONTENTS UNLOCKED TO GROW. WE INSTINCTIVELY KNOW WHEN WE ARE READY TO LEARN THE SECRETS BEHIND THE DOOR THE KEY UNLOCKS.

TO USE THIS KEY SOONER MAY CAUSE FURTHER REGRESSION INSTEAD OF LERANING AND APPRECIATING ITS CONTENTS.  A  KEY MAY BE USELESS TO US IF WE REVEAL THE INFORMATION TOO SOON IF WE UNLOCK WHAT THE KEY AND ITS LOCK HOLD.  WE SHOULD NOT USE A KEY PREMATURELY. THE CONTENTS ARE PACKED IN A SUITCASE OF CLOTHING THAT DOESN’T FIT US UNTIL WE GROW INTO THAT SIZE.  THE CHOICES WE MAKE  DETERMINE THE TIMING WHEN IT IS USED.

DETOURS “GETTING BACK ON TRACK AFTER UNANTICIPATED LIFE EVENTS”

ONE OF THE EASIEST THINGS IN LIFE IS TO SET GOALS.  ONE OF THE HARDEST THINGS IN LIFE IS TO FOLLOW THEM WITHOUT A DETOUR OF SOME KIND.  WHAT CAUSES US TO “TAKE A DETOUR” FROM REACHING OUR DREAMS AND GOALS?  IT MIGHT SURPRISE YOU TO KNOW DETOURS ARE VERY COMMON, AND WHEN THEY OCCUR, (detours) THEY ARE ALWAYS WITHIN OUR POWER TO CHANGE. GETTING BACK ON TRACK IS WITHIN OUR POWER TO CHANGE.  HOWEVER, SOME DETOURS ARE HARDER TO GET NEW DIRECTION TOWARDS. 

REMEMBER, IN LIFE WE ALWAYS HAVE THE POWER OF CHOICE.  HOWEVER, TO MAKE CHOICES IDEAL TO REACH OUR GOALS AND FOLLOW THE PERFECT PLAN HAVE DETOURS ALONG THE WAY THAT WE AREN’T IN CONTROL OF.  THE KEY IS HOW QUICKLY WE GET “BACK ON TRACK”.  FOR EXAMPLE, LET’S SAY OUR GOAL IS TO BUILD A BUSINESS.  THERE ARE SOME THINGS WE CAN DECIDE TO DO, BUT LIFE EVENTS SUCH AS JOB LOSS, LACK OF CAPITAL, POOR BUSINESS  PLANNING, ECONOMY, AND PERSONAL TRAGEDY CAUSE DETOURS IN OUR PLANS. 

WE MAY FEEL WE ARE IN CONTROL OF ALL OF OUR DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS AND YES, GOALS.  WE HAVE A HUGE SAY IN THIS BUT WE ARE ALSO HUMAN BEINGS AND ARE NOT PERFECT.  “PERFECT CHOICES AND PERFECTION IN HUMANS DO NOT EXIST.”  LUCK, EDUCATION, GOAL SETTING, AND ABILITY TO AVOID DETOURS OR TO FIND ANOTHER DIRECTION IN OUR LIFE DOES.  THIS IS A BLOG, WHICH I OFTEN DO RESEARCH FOR BEFORE WRITING ON THE TOPIC.  TODAY, THESE ARE MY THOUGHTS AND OPINIONS AS TO WHAT CREATES SUCCESS AND ABILITY TO GET BACK ON TRACK WHEN A DETOUR IN OUR LIFE HAS OCCURRED. 

EVERYONE THAT READS THIS OR FOLLOWS ME ON SOCIAL MEDIA IS AWARE I LOST MY SISTER ABOUT EIGHT MONTHS AGO.  UNLESS YOU PERSONALLY HAVE LOST SOMEONE WHO YOU LOVED DEEPLY AND GREW UP WITH OR WATCHED GROW UP, IT IS HARD TO UNDERSTAND THAT WE DO NOT JUST GRIEVE FOR A PERIOD OF TIME RESOLVING OUR PAIN AND MOVE ON. WE ALL GRIEVE DIFFERENTLY.  ONE THING THAT LEADS US ON A DETOUR FROM OUR ASPIRATIONS ARE LIFE EVENTS IS DEATH OF A LOVED ONE AND UNEXPECTED TRAGEDY. 

SOMETIMES WE DO NOT REALIZE THE IMPACT THESE KINDS OF LIFE EVENTS HAVE ON US.  LONG TERM TRAUMA AND GRIEVING OF A LOVED ONE SUCH AS A SISTER, MOTHER, WIDOW OR WIDOWER, A CHILD LOSING A MOTHER, OR A MOTHER LOSING A CHILD, FINANCIAL TRAGEDY, ALONG WITH UNEXPECTED HEALTH ISSUES AND MENTAL HEALTH ARE ALL PART OF TRAGEDIES WHICH OPEN THE DOOR FOR DETOURS IN OUR GOALS AND PLANS.  BEFORE GOING ANY FURTHER, LET US TAKE A LOOK AT THE WEBSTER AND DAILY WISDOM WORD MEANING OF DETOURS. 

WEBSTER DEFINITION OF DETOUR-1.  A LONG OR ROUNDABOUT ROUTE THAT IS TAKEN TO AVOID SOMETHING OR TO VISIT SOMEWHERE ALONG THE WAY.  2.  AN ALTERNATIVE ROUTE FOR US TO USE TO AVOID TRAFFIC. 

DAILY WISDOM WORD DEFINITION-EVENTS OR ROADBLOCKS IN LIFES PLANS. 

SOMETIMES IN LIFE, WE MUST TAKE A DETOUR TO GET OURSELVES TOGETHER AND IT MAY NOT BE EASY.  HOWEVER, DETOURS ARE ALSO A PART OF LIFE.  HOW WE DEAL WITH THEM IS A CHOICE.  WE MAY FIND OUR GOALS AND DREAMS CHANGE WITH OUR EXPERIENCES.  IT IS IMPORTANT TO BE CLEAR WHEN WE FIND OURSELVES MAKING CHANGES SO WE CAN DECIDE IF WE WANT TO PURSUE ANOTHER ROUTE IN LIFE.  THANKS FOR READING.  SAMANTHA

TENSION HOW DO WE GET RID OF IT?

I am going to discuss tension, its definition and ways to get rid of it.  Tension is a symptom of stress, and can bring on things such as migraines, irritability and anxiety. Lets take a look at the definition of tension from the Webster Dictionary and the daily wisdom words definition to enhance the Webster meaning.  

Webster definition of tension-1.   The state of being stretched tight.  2.  A strained state or condition resulting from forces acting in opposition to each other

Daily Wisdom Word meaning of tension-a part of feeling anxious or stressed;  a feeling of stress within our neck area and other areas in our body.  

What can we do to get rid of tension?  The first thing recommended is to meditate and this only takes about 15 minutes once you train your mind to do it.  2.  Deep breathing.  I know with myself, this is extremely helpful. I suffer with an anxiety disorder and I can feel it in my stomach and also have a feeling of mental discomfort.  3.  take five minutes and focus on only one behavior with awareness.  Notice the little things like being in a comfortable chair, feeling the air on you as you walk or focus on the sound of the walking itself.  Tension often comes on when we are focusing too deeply on problems and breaking them down into a bunch of little issues.  Anxiety issues can come on as well from the exact opposite reasons;  not getting enough exercise, rest or eating properly.  Women who are active do need some carbohydrates that are good for you.  This creates a release of serotonin in the brain and attributes to calmness.  

I notice tension and anxiety as well as stress can be not releasing the inner valve inside you that can be like a tea kettle getting ready to blow as it boils or a pot with a tight lid that simply boils over.  What else can we do?  According to an article I found on the Web-MD website, we can reach out.  Our social network can be one of the best ways to cope with stress.  Share how you feel with a friend preferably face to face.  This can help you organize the thoughts that overwhelm you and put some semblance and order towards them.  

Try being present.  Oftentimes our brain is like a broken record focusing on the past and the things we would change if we could, or the future that isn’t here yet.  Have you ever noticed that the amount of worry in your mind about an upcoming project or event, when you actually are doing it and complete it, looking back you wonder why you were so worried to begin with.  When you’re feeling stress and anxiety, become more aware of your body.  Isolate individual parts of it and focus on your breathing and releasing the internal valve mentioned above.  Another way to relieve stress and tension?  Laugh out loud.  Have a good belly laugh!  This will relieve some of the anxiety and produce the feel good chemical, endorphins in the brain which is our pleasure transmitter.

Be The Hero


THIS ARTICLE ENTITLED, “BE THE HERO”, IS BY DR.SHANNI DOVER

 

Hello all. Today I am submitting this, my first post on DailyWisdomWords.com. I am excited to have the opportunity to reach out to others.

For this first entry, I will discuss ‘being the hero of your own life story’. Joseph Campbell is credited with the quote:

“You are the hero of your own story.”

Simply put, this means that you and you alone define your life. Through faith in yourself, you decide who and what you will be.

Therefore, it stands to reason that we have the power to be a hero if we choose. With each challenge, and mistake, we can rise to the occasion and conquer the shadows. Those who see only our mistakes may view us as failures, but this far from the truth. Mistakes are part of everyone’s life, and how we face adversity is what truly helps to define us.

Thus, by believing in ourselves and accepting both the good and bad, we can choose to embrace the pain and reinvent ourselves. Consequently, we can grow  and learn as a result of the trials we face, and subsequently become better human beings. By being the hero of your own life story, you validate your experiences and you help to define your existence. Furthermore, by working towards self understanding, we open a door to our true selves: the hero within. This is more than mere survival; this is a path towards thriving in your life.

 

A Positive Choice

Remember that one of your choices is to maintain a positive countenance in the face of heartbreaks. Our tolerance for life’s ambiguity is key to our growth, both intellectually and emotionally. By practicing positivity, you can look at your life with all its ups and downs without judging yourself too harshly.

Additionally, being the hero allows for your internal structures/schemes to be altered. Very much the way steel is tempered by fire, your seeming losses can be construed as learning opportunities…a means to your personal growth.

Beyond the personal empowerment that can be gained by reframing your own definition of success, your life can be a shining example to others as they traverse life’s labyrinth.

As a result, your life also allows you to be the hero of someone else’s story, given that you are born with a wellspring of strength and love. Every act of kindness, whether that be a smile or a hand held tightly, can serve to uplift others.

Life is love: sharing love, being love…this is your heroic path. The gift of life is immeasurable and unlike any other gift you could receive. By being a hero, you show others that they too can be heroes in their own lives and perhaps in the life of others.
