YOU ARE ALL I WANT BY CIGARETTES AFTER SEX

The most controversial of all is love and the funny thing is that we all agree that it definitely is. Today is quite the day for a song as sweet as this. Just a little story about this song before we go on with Daily Wisdom Words Music Prompt today. Cigarettes After Sex is an American pop band and this song was released in 2020. Robert Frost, a very good friend, whose humor gets in the way of his art to make it adorable…and yes, I am not forgetting the fusion of romance too suggested I featured one of their songs a long time ago and they really have grown on me. Thanks Rob!

Now you know. You are all i want by Cigarettes After Sex is what we get to listen to today on Daily Wisdom Words Music Prompt. You know how we get it rolling here.

  1. The One

    What video this is I
    Surely should know
    It’s one that gives my
    iPhone afterglow

To create love not be in love
    Spree encounter hand in glove

Now your undertow pulls the line
    Ignoring me & my iPhone
    checking the time
    of this reflection
    in my mind

  2. **Unilateral**

Happiness is what I found after you
    Your languish, slender body mixed
With drugs, entorpecents of all kinds
This is not the life I want to go through

I don’t want to relate to an object
Flows of feeling that come from me to you and never come back I feel as if my energy is to be ejected

As a chandelier that never gets illuminated I feel like I’m always emitting a beam
And for once, for once in my life I’m clean

  3. Sunglassing Me

    Delight asks if you’re real
    reading my lips
    she knows you so well
    laughs at my inside joke.

    Your eyes sunglass me
    so you saunter into mine
    we know why we’re here
    mirroring our smiles.

    When you name me
    you’re all I want, sweet
    fingers through your hair
    as you taste my champagne.
