What is the Sense of it All?
Oh what is the sense of it all?
We are born into a world that has so much beauty to enjoy
But why then do we destroy it
We have the gift of love that we can share
But then why do we turn to hate
What is the sense of that?
Why, oh, why is it that way
We can laugh, we play
But we can also cry and hide are life away
What is the sense of all this violence?
That a rational person feels the need for a gun to hide behind in fear of others
To take a life because someone is angry and full of hate
Who gives you the right to kill, and why do we tolerate those that do
The powers that control the body political will they are just useless fools that babble
They give us thoughts and prayers and blame the curse of violence on everything but the truth
Gun rights they claim oh don’t take the guns away; the only answer is a good guy with a gun
Yes a good guy with a gun until he turns the gun on everyone- Thoughts and prayers
Oh I’m sure, on some level they feel for those that are killed
But that feeling fades when the NRA checks come in
Let face it, folks, mass killings are good for business gun sales soar
When a politician says thoughts and prayers
What they mean is the thought of guns sales soaring mean the cash will be a flowing
So let’s pray for more mass killings for that’s our American system of profiteering
So that’s the truth, my friends, it’s not the hollow second amendment that they claim it’s the profits that are made
In the capitalist world humanity is just a chess piece for the corporate world to play with
We are just a figure on the profit and loss statement written in blood!
Thoughts and prayers everyone!
