Darkness perused
suffused apologies
in fallen tears
love disquiet
withdraws
through gaps of light
purveying memories
like so many
fabled nights
romance was like
a guide
exchanging a
knowing smile
sedately imbued
with secrets of us.
It is finally here. Great!
Our Road Home
Destiny knew who we were
she laughs as tears fell
like a sad happier time
knowing our road home.
Your lyrical eyes dance
looking inside mine
such melancholic days
a love waiting for you.
Our poetry rewrites us
heartbroken verses
touching a fire in our deep
we still sing her song.

DECISIONS
Everyday you take a chance,
A chance you hope you don’t regret.
And as you are taking the chance,
You hope to get what you expect.
Everyday you make a choice,
A choice you make on your own.
And you hope the choice you make,
Makes your happiness be known.
Sometimes the chance you take,
Leaves you unhappy and blue.
Or the choice you make.
Really isn’t the one for you.
Whether you win or lose,
That’s the chance you take.
You won’t know the answer,
Unless there’s a choice to make.
The Chances and Choices.
You do each and every day.
Are the lessons of life,
You learn in your own unique way.
