A glimpse of a Dream
______________________
One glimpse of her eyes
Makes my temperature rise
Her movement is of methodic beat
She sways in the wind and moves with grace
Her face, a face that burns inside my soul
In my dreams she comes to me, I see her face
But yet no embrace can I share with her
She is of the wind, a free spirit born to fly
Outside of my reach, she taunts me with a beguile of a smile
In my dreams, I’m lost to no avail for I try to breach the barrier
My hopes, my dreams to touch her sweet smile with my fingertips
To hold at last and press my lips to hers
But such is not to be, for the spirit of the wind takes her away from me
She rides high, into the sky, she moves through the clouds, away from me
Out of my reach, out of my life, but forever in my dreams!

For The Babies That Never Were
For the Babies that Never Were
(Dedicated to my Sister the one I’ll never know)
______________________________________________
Life is so fickle
No one knows for sure
We come and we go like a revolving door
New faces born; while others die
Some go young never living a full life
Yet there are those who’s last breath, does over a hundred years pass before that breath is released with a sigh
Like the rise of the morning Sun or its setting when the day is done
Life goes on; it dies but is renewed once more
Life has its meaning this is for sure
But what that meaning for most it’s not quite clear
But what of those who will never be
A child stillborn on delivery
An accident took her, so she’ll never be
Those that were never born or who will see the light of day
Just a memory of what they could have been
I cry for all the lost souls, both living and dead
But my heart breaks for the child who never has lived!

Can You Find The Truth?
Can you find the Truth?
_____________________
What is a lie?
It is not the truth
Or is it
Is truth really the lie and the lie is really the truth
It depends on who is telling the truth, and who is telling the lie
How you see it and what you know will determine who you think is telling the truth
Only trust what you know and weigh the words that are spoken persuasively than one who is, very dourer
So it goes to the orator, to win his point, he may lie to you it’s true
But if he speaks with words of honey, he can make the ugly be beautiful to your ears.
So beware of what you hear, for it could cost you down the road
Only trust what you know and weigh the words that are spoken
Use your brain, to think through each notion, do not show satisfaction base on emotions
For the truth is out there waiting for you to pick it from the tree!

Democracy Dies
Democracy Dies
___________________________
The Day democracy died
No one, cried for they did not know
They went about their own way
While those who tried to warn were taken away
When the independence of the government falls to the will at the top
When departments turn to weapons, used by a would be king
The people’s freedom no longer do we sing, a country turn into prison, no one is free
The news is all twisted by the PR man, what is up and what is down will be turned around
When democracy dies, it will die because we brought the lies from those who cloak the truth and hide it from our eyes
We heard just what they wanted, those who spoke out and tried to point out the lies, were dealt with
Fear to talk, brought about the silence, death to freedom when only his words our spoken
His minion rise using force, claiming to be coerced
The power that runs the show using religion to force control
Women, people of color, and those that love is not approved of
Anyone who poses a threat, to the wealth at the top, targets to put down
Yes freedom and democracy disappear when there’s no dissent
Yes, freedom and democracy die when all we have is his lies!

Who Will Cry
Who will cry
________________________________________________
Who will cry for the Lark at the edge of the park?
Who will weep for the willow in the far meadow?
Where will the creek go, if there’s no rain?
How will the sun’s rays, break through the morning fog
Who will bring us the peace we are crying for?
Do you hear the sounds of the ocean as its waves touch the shore?
Down from the hill in the valley below just a few miles from here, but the wind blows and carries the sound of the ocean roar.
The Forest with trees so tall, hide the pain I feel inside
Listen to the Hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies in the meadow as they feed on the nectar of the multitude of wildflowers, each dress out in its own color
They bring life to the old willow; her shade is for all to share from the harsh heat of the day.
The lark is not alone anymore; her cries are of joy as her mate returns with treats of morning breakfast that is shared in the nest
The creek runs with the water that fell last winter and with the showers of the new spring it’s alive with fish frogs and bugs
All types of creatures, some big, some small come to the creek for a drink; some will go fishing for that night’s meal.
All the while the water pays no attention as it flows over rocks old logs. In places, it will flow from up on an edge down to the pool just below; a hidden waterfall, a wonder of beauty, that too few people see.
Yes, the current takes fallen leaves and small twigs as it runs to the sea.
Here in the Redwood grove, do I sit, as the morning sun rays break through the gray of the fog, the blanket will be gone with the warmth of the sun.
Here in the fortress of trees do I sit, on an old twisted log that has laid here for years
A good book in my hand to get lost in as I spend a good part of the day, a bag that brought with me some apples and nuts to share with my friends.
Not many people come this way, they’re all stuck in their ways, phones to their face; they just don’t see what life was meant to be.
Yes, in this idyllic setting, one can find peace and happiness. A place where one will see what was meant to be.
Some people fear the woods, the animals and bugs. I can recall seeing creatures both big and small come by giving me the eye as they passed. Once a wolf stop but a few feet from me saw that I was no threat, gave me a smile, and walked by with her child.
We live in a world of two, divided a forest of green gleaned by natural means, that is fading.
The other, a forest of steel, concrete and glass that is taking over the land, a place of protocols and rules, communities of tribal thoughts, where freedom is but a word, that you must observe by toeing the line, no talking back.
Your identity is questioned if it’s not the group’s norm, and you can fall from grace if you challenge others minds with thoughts of your own.
No peace can you find here in the hustle and bustle of the cities and towns, it wears you down. In this forest, that man has made, life is cheap, no soul do we have any more on asphalt that replaces the flowers of different colors, how barren is this bleak world, that the only color that we see, is green!

The Ecstasy and the Cruelty of Love
The Ecstasy and the Cruelty of Love
___________________________________
The touch, the feel
Of when you hold me, dear
Of you being near, I need it so
Your breath upon my ear
Like a drug, that I can’t control
I’m strong when I’m free of the chains you place on me
But deep down within my soul, I can’t let go of you
I must return to your control, for the life of me, I just can’t let go
I know that you have so many others, more beautiful than me
Here tonight, I see you with a new delight
At this party, all our friends can see how you treat me
As you spoon all over that beauty, that you see with your eyes
Come now my love, please don’t make me beg
For this I ask of you, don’t let me be
A clown before our friends, stop hanging on to some other man’s wife
It’s time to go, give me that dignity, and please leave with me
She will wait for your return, but please I beg, take me home
No more do I wish to see, as you pay no attention to me
Walk with me in the dark of night hold hand and lead the way
It’s not that far to walk, please give me this
The looks on my friend’s faces are too much for me to take
I want to cry, but I’ll hold it in until I’m alone in bed once again
Take me home now for I beg of thee, walk with me
I know that once you have me home, you will leave and I will be alone
But I know that once you had your way, with the one you chose tonight she will fade from your mind
That is the morning light you’ll return, to me at our home
I’ll swear and throw a fit, and regret ever knowing you
But in the end, I know the truth I’m bound to cry
For when you take me in your arms, I’ll lose all control of all my emotions
For when you touch me, my body tingles with anticipation
Your breath upon my ear a sensation of deep satisfaction
As you bring me close to you, my mind goes blank
Resistance to the deeds you have done, no longer can I cling to
It simply ends for me, with a whimper
When my dress falls to the ground
The web you spun, has caught me once again
The chains that lock me so to your control are now in place
Your infidelity, for now, slip away in the ecstasy of your embrace
Once again I’m yours!

Now that we are here
Where is the report
Where oh, where is the report
In the April part of the year
The fool’s day seems to run past the first
In the Rhapsody of the moment
The con man’s yaps to the wind
I’m being picked on, I have done no harm
They’re all jealous have how great I am
Witch hunt it was, just ask Barr, he understood
Barr gave you the words, of the report
What more do you need to know
Let’s move on from Mueller’s report
Our Country Has spoken, I’m the greatest that the worlds ever are known
Listen to my words I’m innocent, you need not see another word
In delirious dance, the minion cry, no collusion, no obstruction
Lock her up they all cried
In Congress, his lackeys do their part to keep the public in the blind
Meanwhile, Barr sits in a white house office under Jared’s eyes
Redacting truth; replacing with white house lies!
If indeed we one day we were to see the report, it would not look good for the jerk
Putin won’t let that happen, for he paid lots to buy the President!

The Tale Of John Bowls
The Tale of John Bowls
______________________________________________
There was a time, long ago that a man name, John Bowls did live.
His grave is over there, away from all the rest.
Nearest to County garbage heap is where he rest if the people of the town had their way, the garbage heap would be his last resting place, the government said no, there’s a law that must be enforced.
For when he lived and walked the streets of this here town people knew to stay away, for fear he brought to all that came his way.
John was a big man all of 6 foot 7, a bully and coward were he, an honest day work, he would never know.
For he spent his days, and spent his nights drinking and carrying on he gambled and cheated his life away and drank cheap gin throughout the day, he was a womanizer, when he needed the money he stole it for he had no moral standard.
People were afraid of him for he was always in a fight and would always win, some of those he beat, would die of inflicted wounds by him.
John was an evil man, this was understood, he was just no good he was but a fool who stood upon his own self-indulgence on a sea of intimidation he hides his all his weakness.
Now John had a wife her name was Emily, she was a person completely opposite of him, kind and caring, beloved by the town was she.
People always wondered how such marriage could be but being good kind folks they didn’t say a thing to them, just talked behind their backs.
John and Emily lived just south of town and keep mostly to their selves.
It was one day in May; it was like all other days John was on a drunk, he had been drinking all day.
It was late upon his return to home and Emily was not alone for the Reverend Doctor Jones had come to comfort her.
When John walked into the bedroom of his home he found the two in each other’s arms in bed.
John’s face did go red; before they could say a word John grabbed his gun from the dresser drawer then shot them both in the head.
He then went to the kitchen, and had a drink after drinking quite a few; he knew what he needed to do.
He took both bodies out of the back of the house into the back yard he would dig a shallow grave.
For both lovers there they would lay.
He threw some dirt and twigs upon the grave and padded down the ground.
He then did his best to clean the bloody mess left on the floor and on the bed.
The people of the town begin to wonder where the Reverend Doctor Jones was, they also said where is Emily it been some since she was here.
After some time went by, the local sheriff and his deputies started to check around, the Sheriff asked John where Emily was John answered; she went to see her mother and will be gone for some time.
At John house the Sheriff notices a blood stain faded on the floor John claim he cut himself, and that was that.
The Sheriff though made a trek to a town upstate to visit with the Mother, where Emily was supposed to be.
No sir, the Mother said for it’s been quite a while since I heard from my sweet Emily; In fact, now that you ask, it was just a little over a month ago I sent my sweet Emily a note.
I never heard back from her, and now with you here I’m concerned. I never like that beast that married her. I told her then and I’ll tell you now, he is just no good.
Upon the Sheriff’s return to town, it had been several months and neither, Emily or the Reverend Doctor Jones had been found.
On that fateful winters night, it rains so hard the dirt and twigs upon the shallow grave, gave way to the rain.
Yes, it washed the ground, and exposed the truth; the bones of both Emily and the Reverend Doctor Jones do the Earth return to view.
It took just a short time before the Sheriff caught old John as he tried to run; it was near the County line.
The trial was short and swift; the jury was in and out on that same day.
Guilty, cried the foreman of the jury, The Judge sealed John’s fate you’ll swing high, with a rope around your neck until your dead.
It was just a fortnight later; on the prison grounds, Old John did swing. Yes, he swung high on that rainy afternoon. His body was twitching and shaking, it would take a while for old John to die.
The prison warden then returned to the sheriff, the dead carcass of old John.
As I said at the beginning of this tale, the town did not want him back.
The sheriff said it’s the law; we need to give him a good old fashion Christian burial.
For some time there was an impasse between the town folk and the law. To tell the truth no one knew what to do, for no one really wanted him, buried near their friends and family at all.
A compromise was finally reached; do in part because the body started to stink.
The town folks first said to the garbage heap, but the law said no. Then the county judge came up with a plan, will bury old John in the far corner of the old cemetery, way out of sight, a place nearest to the garbage dump, on a plot of land no one wants to use.
The funeral was a simple one, there was just a few who came.
The new Reverend gave a pray and asked forgiveness for his soul, then a person there said; send the bastard to hell for that’s where he belongs.
So that came to be, old john’s final resting place, as for Emily she was buried next to the Reverend Doctor Jones right to his left and on the right was the Reverend’s faithful wife. Nae, no one said a word about this arrangement, all though there were some snickers under the.
Now that concludes the Earthly life, it’s interesting what comes next.
For on transiting from this life; one finds their selves, coming through the mist, there before them lies a path that leads after a short walk to the junction point.
There you’ll find an angel of the highest magnitude, all dress in white, with wings of gold upon its back; it’s neither man nor that of women in form, in fact, it’s both. This angel is an arbitrator of sorts, if you will, for the angel is tasked with deciding who goes to heaven or who goes to hell.
You’ll find this angel at the end of the pathway were the road divides, one way goes to heaven’s gate, the other to the pits of hell.
On this particular occasion, the first to arrive was the good Reverend Doctor Jones, the Reverend then did say, my dear God, I’m home please let me in.
The angel looked the Reverend in the eye and said that will not be.
For you betrayed your oath to God and your wife you did cheat on. Instead of offering compassion and help to a suffering soul, you used your office to seduce poor Emily’s innocent soul, so to hell, you must go.
A short time later sweet Emily arrived; the angel looked her in the eye and said, no words do you Emily need to give, for now, you’re safe in the arms of God and out of harm’s way and heaven does await your return to a loving home.
Some time passed until the third person of our story, arrived at this crossing; thereupon the angel was sure to hell, he would send John.
But before the angel said one word, John begged for, forgiveness, and poor John claimed that through life he was but misunderstood and treated really bad.
The angel took pity on John, and said, in this place, there is forgiveness for those who contrite.
But your sins are of the many; too many to count by me.
But I’ll tell you what I’m going to do, If Emily, your wife the one you abused and killed, can find within her heart to forgive your sins, I will let you in.
Just like that Emily appeared before the angel and John, she looked at John with sadness in her face, you hurt me so throughout my life, even though my full love I gave to you. Yes I made a mistake I was beguiled by the Reverend Doctor Jones, for this you took my life.
I will forgive you, said Emily, but only when you get down on your knees and beg to me, and ask forgiveness for what you did to my life. Also, you must swear to God to never do another evil deed.
John looked Emily in the eye, and with an evil grin, said the hell with you, upon those words, old John to hell he went!

She Is The One
She Is The One
____________________________
Oh those were the days, way back then
I can see them clearly as the mist of time clears
Yes, as I sit here in this old dingy room
Time ticking by, nothing to do
She is gone, the kids don’t call
Our friends from so many years don’t see them anymore
They’re but history and memories of the past
Now at the winter of my life
My mind wanders back in time
To those summer days of my youth
Yes way back then, we had fun at our school
The gang and I were quite a group
After school, the old diner, we would hang
Oh we enjoyed all those burgers, fries and malts
The girls worn pink, we guys looked so cool in dark clothes and Leather Jackets
Yes, I can remember, with a smile, when I had hair, back then my hair grew wild
Brylcreem was what we used back then, pure grease as I recall
The hot rods that we rode, in drag races down the road and place we were not to go
Movies on a hot summer night we watch from movie theaters that were nothing more than parking lots.
Yes those were the days of my youth
Oh yes, let not forget the girl, who was to be the one
I gave her all my love, at the graduation on our senior year
The high school party, she took me to her side
I thought that was, what love really was. She swore to me to be my bride
That’s the way love should be
We were both so young back then
Oh how time goes by so soon, you take a breath and close your eyes
All that time has passed you by
No, we never married, for we were living in a teenage dream
I wonder, what happens to that high school sweetheart of mine Yes, what became of her
I went to war, and that was that never was meant to be, I guess
For me no regrets, I did not find true love until all my youth had been spent
For war can kill the innocents of man, and leave just a shell no physical wounds need to be seeing, for deep within it lies
It takes someone very special to see that there below the callous surface, of one who lost all faith and can’t find his soul
There beats a heart that grieves
Yes, someone who has the patients and understands
Who knows what true love really is
For in my early twenties, she found me and pulled me from the grave
While high school romance may be a rite of passage
It takes a real woman to save a helpless man
She was the one
For what she gave to me, no one will understand
The love that is true and will stand the test of time
Those many years that we had
The true bond that we shared
I miss her so each day now that she has past
But enough of this dwelling on the past
For my time is coming soon
I know that on that day through the mist I’ll see
That love of mine, standing there waiting for me
We will smile at each other, and cry just a little
I’ll take her hand in mind, will kiss hello,
No spoken words need be said, for we will know
With her hand in mine, will walk into the mist of time
Somewhere in time, somewhere in space
Two lovers will look back in time to the life that they once lived
To all the lovers young and old, there is a special place
The memories that you hold
Live on in time and space!

Truth Is What You Don’t Know
Truth is what you don’t Know
____________________________
Once there was a man who wanted to be king
Who thought he was everything
He cheated and lied
All the time he would say with a smile
How he would make their country great
He held the flag in his arms; he cried defend it at all cost
But in truth, when in his youth, when called to arms, he could not go
Seems a doctor’s note he had said he should be deferred
No war for him, he stayed home and had some fun, which daddy paid for.
Now he rules this here land like it’s his own personal piggy bank.
His base of followers is blind to the theft, for they could care less. Their life is all fix on putting down those that don’t fit in their narrow concept of life.
His party did what he says, they lick at his feet like dogs in heat. They do this even though they know it’s wrong, but for power’s sake they hold their noses and turn their heads for money which they love flows from the master hand.
It is the masters behind the scene, who really pull the strings
These people who run the show have puppets who do the dance, they keep us in the show with antic’s for a distraction
To keep the mind away from the truth with hopeless lies
While all the while, the power that there is in control of the life that we lead.
Around the world chaos rains and brings about words of hate
Wars are just a way of life; the poor take all the blame for all that’s wrong and the wars just go on and on.
Refugees of the innocent fill the streets seeking somewhere to go, for the safety of the family. But no one wants the poor they just want the resources that the wars are really for.
Our environment is going down, soon we will have less land to live upon, the water and the air is turning to a silent killer, but no one is talking, too much money to be made.
We talked of collusion and interference in our election, the attack by the Russians upon our election.
But the truth will not be seen, for its useful distraction will keep us from what’s going on.
It’s not the Russian people who are our foe but the worldwide oligarchy that keeps us all off balance
The group of Billionaires works to keep their wealth growing, more wars of profit, no side they are taking, playing both sides is a profit for the taking.
All the while, the refugees no one is wanting as their homeland is a burning. The future of mankind is at hand, but the truth of what the world could be is blinded by greed.
In the end, we will all be dead, but those who come after we are gone, will not see the world as God created, but a place where hell was created, not by God, but by man!

A Puzzle Piece
A Puzzle Piece
__________________________________
As I laid there in my bed
Thoughts passed through my mind
Like film strips of a movie, that was my life
Each frame of this movie was like each breath I took
A life rich with living
All that could be, there was
Yes
There were pain and suffering
But
There was also lots of good
I had my ups, and my downs, to be sure
But I weigh the goods to be more, for this am sure
I could have gone through life without love
A lonely life that would be
But
My life was blessed with love
For in this universe that we live, there are no guarantees
I believe our life starts as just a puzzle piece
Afloat and all alone
Somewhere, in this universe there waits for another piece of the puzzle, with a life of its own
In most cases, we go through life and all the pieces never fit quite right
But when they do
When they come together
Just the right fit
Two pieces joined as one, but still, with their own identity
A picture is complete
It means
Love has found a way across infinity, to be shared by two
Yes
Two, who were meant to be, as one
Soulmates to share this life
Together not alone
Hand in hand they walk this life
They share the ups and downs
But with the love they stride, and face each day, with a smile for each other
Knowing that love has got their backs
Yes
This is why I’ll smile
Yes I can be down and cranky too
I can feel sorry for myself and cry into my drink
But then I realize the truth
When I look at the big picture
I see beyond a doubt
I have that kind of love
That I speak about
For as I lay in my bed seeing the film of my life, flow through my dreams
She is there to hold my hand and walk with me
Upon awakening from my slumber
I can simply turn my head
For next to me in our bed, she lies
My soulmate
Which makes my life complete
The love of my life is she
Which makes our puzzle complete!

A New Beginning
A New Beginning

It’s a time to love, a time to heal
The pain that we feel
So much hate, so much anger
The evil that has taken over
One’s lack of tolerance and those of insecurities
The deep down feeling driving ones hate
Mindless acts of revenge for things done in the pass
Reactions of hate and violence to conspiracy throwing about, by those who profit from a speech of hate
It does not matter who you are
The only thing that we should see is the soul of thee
Religion is nothing more than a philosophy of beliefs
For those who choose, to them, it’s the truth
Let it be, one should have their say
No one religion is above the other
No one should force one belief or use hate and violence to make thee see and submit your soul to their beliefs
The color of one’s skin, the gender that they live in, should not matter
Where a person is born, the languages that they speak
Their thoughts and beliefs
How they look and what they wear
All these things and other
Should not matter
For deep down
Within us, all is a soul
The soul contains the essence of our being
For which we all are united
Link together is the
Spirits of all living things
In space and time
We are part of the cosmos
We are the dust of creation
Atoms from the stars
The mirror of all life
Is the refection
Of the soul
Yet
Theirs within this realm
An individual is formed
Their story, like a book written long ago
Each chapter will unfold
And is capture with the soul
Stored there for ages
A link for all to share
Knowledge is what life is all about
There no room for hate
There no room for fear
There no room for doubt
There no room for violence
When knowledge is about
Knowledge leads to understanding
With understanding
Comes
Love!

The Real Border Crisis
The Real Border Crisis
_______________________________
Confinement, a place to hold
Those that you fear
But, you say they are not a pen
No cages do we have
It’s all fake news
So she says
But we have seen the children locked in these larges pens
Oh what you see, is not what’s you really see
We confine people for only a short time
These are illegals and rapists
But Madam Secretary
These are all young children
Locked in cages
We only separate children from their families
When we arrest their parents
For
Crimes that they have committed
But what crimes are these Madam Secretaries
They came to the border crossing
They ask for asylum
Border guard said, come in
Once they cross the border
A crime they did commit
The parents need to be sent to jail
Then deported because they are now felons
We have no choice but to take the children
But their detention is not a pen
These are a large fence in areas
With a chain-link
There is a concrete floor
For them to lay on
A toilet in the open
for all to see
Any problems that occur
Such sex assaults
Not our problem
As a cost saving to the taxpayer
We turn these children over to a private contractor
So you see
We have no culpability
But Madam Secretary don’t you think this is cruel
Oh no cruel is telling your family that they can find a better life
Now also what is cruel is no money for our wall
But Madam Secretary
Why a wall there is no emergency
We need it to stop the flow
But Madam Secretary these people are only asking for a new life
What is the real reason to deny these folks?
Gee, I thought the President made it clear
We don’t want brown people here!

Beware of a Wishing Stone
Beware of a wishing stone
_________________________________
It was just back in June
Sun was shining down
Hot as hell it was
We have been in this drought
For some time
Little rain was we got
The winter was dry and hot
So little snow had dropped
The lakes, the streams creeks, and rivers
Were low or they were dry
We all cried in the heat of night for relief
One day in this madness
I found a stone
A gem of blue
Cool to the touch was it
I held it to my hot wet cheeks
And then took it to my lips
I said oh dear lord
Please hear my plead
This drought
Has done us out
Please I wish for lots of rain
Fill up the sky
And bring cool relief
Let rain, let it snow
Thousand times or more
Well I put that stone in a special place
And said no more
Though the summer ran so long
And fall was and hot
Come the winter
Not so much as a drop
Then as the year turn
To the next
I had forgotten of the stone and my wish
But I soon remember
Cause
January, February and let’s not forget March
For the rain and snow, it did come
And we thought we had enough
It still came and came a lot
The sky above turned into
A river of air
It drops tons of rain and snow everywhere
It kept coming
Night and day
Rain upon rain
So much snow in the mountains
So much rain
The rivers started flooding
I had had it
With the rain
I stone and held it high
Dear god
Make it stop
I know I wish upon this stone
To let it rain a thousand time or more
You did not need to take me so literally
My word was of a poet soul
I’m not a meteorologist
Please cancel this wish upon a stone
There is no drought anymore
Please oh lord
Can we see a clear sky?
Oh just let it be dry
No more wishing on a stone
Just let us have some damn Sun!

A Judgement is a Coming
A Judgement is a Coming
__________________________________
Gloomy days all of gray
Clouds dark full of rain
As they sail east in different forms
In the mountains high in the sky
Where the air is chilled
By Nordic winds
Snow will fall from those clouds
The winter white that covers the land
We huddled in the cold
Waiting for the spring thaw
New life will show its face
A promise of a new day
Flowers return as the
Gloomy days of gray fad
To the bright warmth of the sun
Soon we will see the colors that nature makes
As we rise from our winter slumbers
The frozen lakes and rivers
Will be anew waiting for the summer fun
Lives Restored
As creatures big and small
Leave their winter homes
A new beginning
A new day
A time to make the world anew
Time for a change
We need new always
Or the world we all know will be no more
The old gives way to the young
For if not the fate of man
Will come to an end
Things we have done in the past
Lead to destructive ways
The actions on our climate
In the name of progress
Wealth for a few
We pay the price
As the earth
Takes each hit of man’s destruction
Our world is a changing
The weather
Will turn on us
As we turn to dust
The end of humankind
The epitaph will read
Blind by greed
Mankind
Did commit
A
Crime
The species that were
No longer will they live
Mankind’s legacy
Has been written
A Judgement is a coming
God gave man
A garden
We return God love
By destroying all that’s good!
In the end the destructions
Will be man!

The Game We Play
The Game We Play
___________________________________
It’s in the wind the sounds I hear
The cries of people everywhere
For Justice and freedom
We work and toil
For so little
As the man takes and takes
More from your soul
As well as your wallet
In the hot sun
Or in the rain
Work you do
For the man
He lives on high
Why you struggle so
Fine wines and caviar
For him
The scraps of junk food are what you get
A vicious cycle do we dance
For if we don’t
There’s no dough
The fear is the driving factor
Hold you down
For your dreams don’t matter
In a world
Where the cards are stacked
Rich man sets the rules
For the maze in which you run
No justice
No freedom
Is for you
For the game, you play
The rich man always wins
My friend
You
Will
Always
Lose!

A River That is Wide
A River That Is Wide
_________________________________________________
On a river that is wide
Do we find a place to hide in the twist and turns as the river runs it way
Down the valley do we sail
On a boat that leaks
While people wail and cry
No there is no freedom
On a river that is wide
People on each bank see the other side
But no middle ground
Does the boatman find when he hears, the crying of the crowds
Above looking down at him
Those who know the truth
Will not say
For the boatman must find his own way
Down the twisted river
To a place of deliverance
For only then will the truth be
Upon them
Then freedom name
Will rise once more
To the folks on the rocky shores above the riverbanks
A bridge can close that big divide
And all can find peace of mind
When the boatman’s
Boat
Reaches the ocean’s door
He brings
Understanding and empathy
Acceptance
In his cargo hold
At safe water port
Where the bridge will be
So here we finally find that tranquility that frees the mind, of the hate inside of thee

Reflections of Rejections
Reflections of Rejections
_____________________________
Reflections of the rejections
Social needs, Oh we can’t pay for this
Reflections of the necessities
Security and war these are a must
Politicians speak words that are meant to deceive
They’ll say one thing one day
Then deny that very thing, the very next day
Reflections of those in power
The ones we did not elect
Where the money is
Oh policy is fed
In troughs full of cash
Do politicians feed and fill the greed
The desires of those in power
Lay forth the policy of the govern
From troughs that politicians feed on
No
We can’t afford a medical plan for all
Not because we don’t have the money
But because the rich and powerful will lose their cut
Medicine and medical needs are not a must
It’s not them that suffer or die
Its people who have no say
Those who stand on high
Say
We can’t afford
Educations
Housing the homeless
A clean environment
Safe Food and water, those things we can’t afford
But yes
Billionaires say they still need more
They want no taxes on themselves
Or
Their corporations
Soak the poor
For what good are they
They serve only to help drive
The capitalist way
To serve wealth and feed their needs
When the poor no longer can serve this order
They no longer can fight in a war for others to profit
They no longer can work and toil
For low wages
Then the need to have them stops
Let the poor die in misery
For
The rich will not
Let the poor be deceive
Uses patriotism
Hate of those, not like them
The rhetoric of the politician’s tongue
On promises, no one ever keeps
Yes to old Glory we are told
While offshore the rich man’s accounts grow
You sacrifice and do your best
But in the end
You will not win
For the cards are stack by the man
Democracy
We do not have
For the Constitution
Give us a Republic
For a Republic is a representative form of governess
And
For democracy to exist within this type of body
Those who represent must not be tainted
By or influence
From
Party or the powerful
For they should represent the masses
Today
Money rules
The legislation that is passed
Yes
We can’t afford to change our ways
For
To the rich, they like the way the things are run today
To them
For the government that we have
The rich and powerful
Profit more!

A Wish for the Day
A wish for the day
___________________________________________
Kiss the winter day’s goodbye
Let the warmth of the Sun come in
Gentle become the winds
Not the blow of cold air upon the skin
May the days get longer and the nights warmer
Oh the joy of a day without snow or rain
Yes, I know we need them so
But not again until the calendar has turned so many pages, do the snow and rain need to come
First, let me bask in the warmth of the Sun
Let there be just enough breeze to cool my face
Oh spring bring out your flowers
Oh summer bring out those lazy days
Put that snow shovel in an out of the way corner
Let it rest there for another day
Bags of sand that blocked overflowing water
Now empty in the sandbox so the kids have a place to play
Oh yes there is a place for winter
But I wish not to be there, for several months to come
For now, I wish to see
A time of fun within the Sun
To go out in shorts
To take long walks
On beaches and forest trails
With the hot sun beating down
Those days when you can’t move
For the heat is oppressive
Sweat pouring down
No wind to cool you down
Yeah, now I remember summer
The hell with this
Yes, let the cool fall breezes come in!

The Road You Take
.
The Road You Take
_________________________________
The road, you take has many turns
You’ll come to a fork in the road
Which way to go
The road to the left, the road to the right
No one can really tell you which way to go
They may try
But the choice is really yours
One of many roads you’ll take in life
Not all will be safe
Some will go up
Some will go down
You will not know the right way to go
But in your heart
There beats a desire
That is driven by the spirit within
Follow your heart
For it knows the way
It may not always be easy
But Life was never meant to be safe
The rewards you seek you may never find
Accept in your mind
You’ll find the satisfaction
Of at least knowing that you tried
Success is not the adulation of others
It’s is
Satisfying the fire that burns within
The Fire that drives you each and every day
On the road
Only you can take

Song of a Con Man
Song of the Con Man
_________________________
Manufacture the lie
Turn the truth into a lie
Make wrong right before their eyes
Confused all with your song
Tell them those who disagree
Are your enemy
Keep the lie alive
Say it over and over
Every time twist it even more
The gullible will buy your lie
Tell them that they’re special
What you do is for them
They won’t care once mesmerized
They have bought your lies
Build your base
With Hate
Give them power
To bully others
All the while
Keep a smile
As you
Pick their pockets
And
Rob
