I’m as plain as dirt.
But dirt has a beautiful spirit;
Dirt gives life,
Blesses everything near it.
Dirt gives life to the tree,
And the blush in the face of a flower.
Dirt is like a woman of substance,
And a gentle man of great power.
I’m proud to be as plain as dirt,
Soil with whom no one will flirt,
Not afraid of myself to assert.
And as plain as the life giving dirt.
