BLACK AND SHADOW

It has been said that a man who castΒ  no shadow is without a soul. I seriously do not know if there is any truth in that but all i know is that all living things have shadow.

You may have a contrary view- that’s okay. You can share it with us on the prompt. Let us go straight to the prompt:

  1. Shadows bind to our light
    embracing colorblind eyes
    alive we bridge both
    between atoms and galaxies.

    Where does light stop
    or darkness seep inside
    skin-deep or soul-deep
one holds us, one binds us.

    We’re painted here
    between water and air
    as ignorance drowns reason
    shadowing our only light.

  2. Shadows on the wall
I love to watched them all
    In the candlelight
Watch the shadows as the flame dances
    Shadows look like they’re moving

  3. A night of black radiance
    moments giveth
    streetlights mystified
    shadowing regrets
    gleaming musically in
    secret chances
    loved by the moon
    the elegance of a kiss
    upon lightness of breath
    to nuzzle my neck
    fooled twice
    romanced blind.

  4. They use coded language to speak of some
they call em thugs, & suspects.
claiming they always have a gun.
Chasing their own trigger finger shadows
    on the wall.
Eyes taped open to the screen, can’t leave
Indoctrinated by bad movies one and all.
Left their soul behind when filled with hatred of black
Claims of white holy angels and black demons fill their head
doesn’t matter how educated or rich you are
to a fear filled man, to be black is to be dread. -Amberdawn (CRG)
