As I was walking down the street one day
A man came up to me and asked me what the time was that was on my watch, yeah
And I said
Does anybody really know what time it is (I don’t)
Does anybody really care (care about time)
If so I can’t imagine why (no, no)
We’ve all got time enough to cry
And I was walking down the street one day
A pretty lady looked at me and said her diamond watch had stopped cold dead
And I said
Does anybody really know what time it is (I don’t)
Does anybody really care (care about time)
If so I can’t imagine why (no, no)
We’ve all got time enough to cry
And I was walking down the street one day (people runnin’ everywhere)
Being pushed and shoved by people (don’t know where to go)
Trying to beat the clock, oh, no I just don’t know (don’t know where I am)
I don’t know, I don’t know, oh (don’t have time to think past the last mile)
(Have no time to look around) And I said, yes I said (run around and think why)
Does anybody really know what time it is (I don’t)
Does anybody really care (care about time)
If so I can’t imagine why (no, no)
We’ve all got time enough to die
Everybody’s working (I don’t care)
I don’t care (about time)
About time (no, no)
I don’t care

Time. A fickle reminder
of what needs to be done.
We think of it fast
It thinks us slow.
Slow to love people who love
Slow to move to thrills of life
Slow to the reality of things
right in front of our faces.
Time. All it needs is
for you to act on it
so it becomes time.
No one walks these streets
carving paths only I see
time skips just ahead of me
I lose my way catching up.
We run different streams
your time measures mine
laughing we play these games
never quite sure in sync.
I try to stop time remembering
as yours streams by me
carving your own future
my own just out of reach.
flowery scents fills the air
dreamy chills looms in
a soft breezy atmosphere
love reveals a
sonnet of flirtatious laughter
pleasures of dimple kisses
nothing ever changes..
wounded by silence
my soul carries heaven
heart beat misses you
in timely leisure
of summertime wishes.
Is this It? Is this the time We’ve waited for? The end of days Finally, God says He’s seen enough The broken hearts have Outnumbered the ones That remain whole? We run around crazy To complete so many things But what does it mean really? If we don’t have time to Even place a call To inquire how someone’s doing. “Are you alright?” “I care.” If not me, Who will? I have a good heart But it has taken a beating It’s been pummeled How much longer can It go one In the condition it’s in When God has stopped Answering all prayers Isn’t it time He stepped up? If He loves us, Like He says He loves us. In my mind, I know that this goes on Until the time When… Read more »
