  1. The Fortune shop,
    dark, dimly lit within,
    Madame Delphi, I’ve come!
    The girl entered and sat.
    Are planets aligned?
    What’s the last card?
    The old hand revealed Death.
    She gasped. Woman chuckled.
    No, dear. It means change,
    not really death.
    The bird looked at her
    and flew away.

  2. The planets move
    A circular grove
    Dancing in her wake
    She plays along
    My heart beat song
    But this girl’s not awake
    I hold her close
    Her broken host
    Her favorite mistake
    My blackhole soul
    Devours her whole
    When I finally break
    Now you know why
    I’m perpetually shy
    And I’m better left alone
