The Woman Took the Stand

On the floor, she spoke with courage
It was like she was on trial
The power of the red machine
Tried to paint her in a lie
But she did not flinch in her account
She stood her ground
He came in pushing his weight around
In his anger, there was a quivering sound
He tried to blame other, saying it was politics
He did his best to misdirect the question of those on the committee
His allies used theatrics to distract from this man’s feeble act
Graham yelling like a madman, an upset was he
As he watches the chosen one losing ground
These old men of the right who so hope to take control of the people’s court
This their chosen one; who will do their bidding
They could care less that he a drunk and a rapist
As long as they can have the votes
For their right-wing agenda
