LYRICS
How many roads must a man walk down
Before you call him a man?
How many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
Yes, ‘n’ how many times must the cannon balls fly
Before they’re forever banned?
The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind
The answer is blowin’ in the wind
Before you call him a man?
How many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
Yes, ‘n’ how many times must the cannon balls fly
Before they’re forever banned?
The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind
The answer is blowin’ in the wind
Yes, ‘n’ how many years can a mountain exist
Before it is washed to the sea?
Yes, ‘n’ how many years can some people exist
Before they’re allowed to be free?
Yes, ‘n’ how many times can a man turn his head
And pretend that he just doesn’t see?
The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind
The answer is blowin’ in the wind
Before it is washed to the sea?
Yes, ‘n’ how many years can some people exist
Before they’re allowed to be free?
Yes, ‘n’ how many times can a man turn his head
And pretend that he just doesn’t see?
The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind
The answer is blowin’ in the wind
Yes, ‘n’ how many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
Yes, ‘n’ how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
Yes, ‘n’ how many deaths will it take ’til he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind
The answer is blowin’ in the wind
Before he can see the sky?
Yes, ‘n’ how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
Yes, ‘n’ how many deaths will it take ’til he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind
The answer is blowin’ in the wind

Our roads are paved by
brothers and sisters
chained by blindness
why do we pretend?
How does reason fail
like skyscraping madness
filled with our ignorance
blowing lies in the wind.
Minds shackled and tormented
bodies hung in trees
how many years do we wait
before we crush our souls?
This is the same thing Karl Womack talked about in his poem.
Shackled and Tormented
……………………………….
Our roads were paved by
brothers and sisters
chained in blindness
beaten over pretense.
How did we lose our way
lost empires dust history
ignorance paid their fee
ours looms just ahead.
Minds shackled and tormented
bodies hung in trees
how many lives do we kill
before we crush our souls?
Many paths a guitar at my side
another bird in the air
dream on the wake
cannon ball sound in the distance
fighting for survival
long time rivals
answers a harmony sings
but the answers bring disease
seeking the sky
begging for release
praying daily to get off their knees.
Please let us be free.
Please let us be free. -AD (CRG)
Love this cry…but the answer brings disease. I really love that line.
The answer is etched
in clear blue skies
as mornings rise
gifting our eyes
conveying love in reform
yet we desist to assist
a hand outstretched
to conjure simplicity
by touching lives
with this grandest of gesture
of endless wonder.
Yet we desist to assist…that line is very poetic.
Life what life
Drifting shadows of time
Past you drifting petals of rose
Blowing are the kisses
Warmth is the breath
Touch is the earths body
Mother nature is the richness dying
Look to our politicians
Look at what they do
