    ebbing away from us
    these days birthed alone
    anchoring familiar times.

    laughing to play here
    this universe a sandbox
    for our childhood’s end.

    scattered memories
    trees rustle with
    emphatic breeze
    a morning mist prayer
    finds sunshine
    feasted upon clouds
    church bell sounds
    to familiar sights
    i manifest his love
    in kindness of heart
    for he is the sentinel
    who holds my smile.
