Thanksgiving is about giving thanks and appreciating friends as well as family for their love and care.

I am thankful for you
I am thankful for family
I am thankful for those who love me
I am thankful for my Bff
I am thankful for all my friends
I am thankful for writing -though I’m not as good as you
I am thankful for painting – it’s what I love to do
I am thankful for nature – it’s soothing
I am thankful for the ocean- it’s my energy renewal
I am thankful for this planet and the air we breathe
But most all I’m thankful for spending time with family and friends on this day called Thanksgiving
I’m thankful I met you. Happy Thanksgiving Reenie.
I wrote this on Thanksgiving day for someone in our writing community who never tires to look deeply into our precious words. Thanksgiving is a day for reaching back to remember those who have made a difference in our short lives. I could write about all of my friends here as you all shine.
We live these days
under a strange sun
writing about shadows
across its ubiquitous light.
Yet there are some here
who glitter among us
their stunning words
shine beyond our eyes.
Doctor our brilliant Linda
holds our words dear
her articulate semantics
resonates within all of us.

A time to repent
Truly what is meant
Look what they have done
Appreciate the workers
How they cut our wage at every stage
The job is draining they cut our training
How do we recruit
Politicians are brutes
