Dancing with Myself

Feeling alone & ignored sucks, right? Sometimes it can be the worst feeling in the world.

With that said, there are times solitude can be extremely beneficial at times.

As expressed in Billy Joel’s song “Dancing with Myself.”

As human beings, were born to be social. Born to loved ones around us.

But there are times when the chatter around you needs to be softened or completely muted. And when that happens, it’s just you and your mind, free from any distractions.

You get to know yourself better. You get a deeper understanding of your thought process and what outcomes usually come out of it.

Do you agree? Do you believe that solitude definitely had its moments? What do they think about the lyrics of the song? Do you resonate with them? Or do they feel completely alien to you?

How do you personally cope with loss? Do you believe that when a loved one passes, they’re still there with you in spirit?

Write down your thoughts by composing your own poem about it! I look forward to reading it and responding to it.
