Giving Up

“There is no failure except in no longer trying.” -Elbert Hubbard
No matter how much positivity and optimism we’re surrounded by, sometimes we still feel like giving up. We are, after all, human. While obviously not failsafe, there is a method I’ve been using for the past year or so which might help in those moments of desperation. When all options run out, I tell myself, let’s just get through today and give up tomorrow if things don’t work out. In essence, it’s the old adage of living one day at a time but in more psychologically pleasing words. So far it’s worked for me. I think it’s important to remember that sometimes, the solution to a dilemma lies in more in the psychological impact of it than the actual conclusion. Hi Neel, I happened to be scrolling on the website and loved this article. Your so right. Our moods change from day to day, so its important, when were feeling down, we have a method to get through it. I will usually make what I call, a “gratitude list when I need to be pulled out of a slump. I list all the things I am grateful for and it seems to turn my mood around. I will also think of other people who hae it much worse than I do, and pray for them. Thanks so much, Samantha
