Grief

by: DechoLee

Wondering in a broken room
Lost to looking back
Doesn’t know a forward track
Splash down
Swimming in a cutscene of dreams
Where did it go
What seeds did he sow
There could have been something
But a neglected garden never grows
Flood or draught is all he knows
And from that
Nothing ever sprouts
Questions and doubts
Blanket his cold body
On the park bench in his soul
The pounding rain
Can’t clean away
The thoughts of that lost day
Could have been something
But from nothing nothing always grows
