LENITY

What does lenity mean?  Let us take a look at our Webster Dictionary and look at the meaning: Lenity-Kindness, gentleness, a literary term Daily Wisdom Word Definition of lenity-1.  The kindness in one’s heart and the gentleness in their touch and treatment of others. Lenity is a Powerful Daily Wisdom Word.  We should treat all people with lenity, kindness and gentleness, but do we? Lenity shows us who we can be as human beings if we try.  We all have kindness within us, but sometimes we are simply too busy to access it.  This causes us to be abrupt and rude rather than kind, because deep inside, we feel we don’t have time for it but we simply do.  We can be kind to others even when we’re in a hurry.  Rushing, does us no good, and kindness takes a little extra time, but the outcome to the other party makes it so worth it. Lenity also means gentleness.  We have gentleness within our hearts and hands and we can be gentle with other people.  There are two kinds of gentle.  We can be gentle in how we deliver bad news to others.  We can be gentle with our touch. Gentle when we see someone we love.  We can show people how much we love them through our touch.  This is why gentleness is so important.  It can convey so much to the other party we are interacting with. Kindness and gentleness together, make for a perfect recipe.  If we are kind and gentle with all people, it says a lot about our character.  Kindness and gentleness require patience and that is why it is difficult to always be kind and gentle, especially when trying to be both.  Patience is a virtue that is hard to come by these days.
