  1. I could never really tell why
My sight often blurred out with wells of tears.
I tried to convince me, myself and I
That there was no life at all in any of my darkest fears.
But I could never really tell why
I was taking long to understand which language my destiny hears.
Yet when I took a break and beheld the reflection of my teary face,
I smiled to learn that all along, the art of my destiny’s language had been these same tears.
For this is when I felt them all dry away, as it was my time to finally give up the chase.
But I could never really tell why…

  2. Hung on a wall for all to see
Her beautiful face at the art gallery
Staring now at the image on the wall
Colorful paint strokes not even a flaw
Familiar her face as if I’ve seen it somewhere
Looking closer I then became aware
I was the picture hanging on the wall
For the first time seeing what he saw

  3. Lips of red and eyes of dark
hold my soul and I can not part
    memories ingrained like sand
never leave I am just like Peter Pan
    A lost child seeking truth
    Holding onto you
    these days of youth
    bleeding from forced growth
    pushed into the world
    they grab my throat
    I hold your picture true
for loving you is all I still can do.
