Two Cheese Enchiladas

  I wrote this as a parody/satire poem to the tune of Garth Brooks song called “Two Piña Coladas” Two Cheese Enchiladas It was almost mid-day When I heard someone say Hey, you wanna go get some food But I had to work ‘Cause my boss was a jerk And it put me in an awful mood My friend said “You know I can get it to go. I can go down to the Taco Shed.” So I looked up at him I know I had a big grin And these are the words that I said Bring me two cheese enchiladas I gotta have Refried beans you know Make sure they use flour tortillas Man, I sure wish I could go Bean and cheese chalupas An order of spanish rice But don’t forget my cheese enchiladas And you and I will get along real nice Oh now I’ve gotta say I could eat every day Enchiladas for every meal Burgers and fries Just don’t satisfy The hunger that I often feel Now my appetite Morning, noon, and night Usually will determine my mood I’ve gotta say I think it will be ok As long as I get my Mexican food So bring me two cheese enchiladas I gotta have Refried beans you know Make sure they use flour tortillas Man, I sure wish I could go Bean and cheese chalupas An order of spanish rice But don’t forget my cheese enchiladas And you and I will get along real nice Just don’t forget my cheese enchiladas And you and I will get along real nice
