Being Thankful

As human beings, we should never stop striving to be the best at what we do. Simultaneously, we must also remember to acknowledge and be thankful for what we already have. Yesterday, there was tornado and a massive power outage in the area where I live in Dallas, TX. I was complaining like anyone else would in my place until I saw a homeless person who didn’t even have a roof over his head to stay safe let alone electricity. (Note: He was eventually taken inside by some of my neighbors till the tornado subsided). The incident made be thankful that I was at least able to stay dry and safe even though I didn’t have power for the next eight hours or so. Never stop dreaming and/or having ambitions. But never dismiss what you have either.
