Sad song
taking me to the place of my insight.
The place of morning sadness
After a long night of adulting madness.
Taking candy away from a baby.
“Momma’s child, Daddy’s maybe.”
Insight.
Childlike fright.
I look into the mirror
no bona fide to see
Outside my window
children play fancy free
Little noises run
In voice of sincerity
Reminiscent of
a bona fide in me
Truth contamination
Who knew to see?
Suspended animation
grows passionately
The ways of the turning tides
changes in a raging sea
are the only ones to show
the bona fide in me

Light escaping my eyes
Time always ephemeral

Sombre is the sky
where angels in
conniption rise
they cradle the minds
of innocence defiled to
appease their broken hearts..
onslaught of doubts
roaring upon clouds
rain pours a
crescendo of sobs
