This sequine dream
of reverent hopes
is now caught in
a breathless pause
part of me screams
to set you free
where forever sleeps
in the best version of us
mirrored on the walls
with old photographs
muted upon a paragraph
of fond farewells.
It seems you guys are writing form the same well. So much imagery in your poem Michelle.
I can literally see everything; the complete image of what you’ve penned is all over my face

I feel I didn’t appropriately state how well your poem was constructed in my previous comment. So I’m going to say this…you almost knocked me off with your poem but I’m not going to fall completely…do you know why?
