Life Travels

The footpath that I travel has so many stories to tell.
The hills that I have to climb the valleys I have walked.
The trails that I took that lead around the bend, new scenery just ahead, new beginnings for me to find.
I have seen the Sunrise, I have seen it set.
The Sun, the Moon and stars my constant guide
Yet along the way, there have been others that share my days.
Some for but a moment, others years to come; each leaves a part of themselves to reside in me. Memories to comfort me in the days ahead
As I walk upon this trail, there many crossroads up ahead who knows which one I’ll follow for each day that I travel my life has grown just a bit, a new lesson that I have to learn, old thing that I clung to, now I know were not true. So the next crossroads that come my way a new direction I will take base on what I’ve learned.
New people and animals I will meet, some of those old dear ones will still be by my side, and others will be a sweet memory of a time gone by.
My journey and my quest, who know what they are,
For they’ll change like the breeze that blows upon the trees.
I just know one fact for step I take something new I have grain for the Windom of learning on each and every path I take.
Someday I know the rainbow bridge I will cross, just like a caterpillar, I will change.
On the other side of the universe, a beautiful butterfly will emerge!
