People Who Think Mental Health Issues…

Sometime last year, I attended a mental health seminar. Like many people around the world, I am a victim and a survivor of mental health, having been diagnosed with clinical depression about four years ago.

Unfortunately, there are still people who don’t take the matter as seriously as they should.

It was in that context that I said the quote below while speaking to a group of people who were struggling with depression just like me.

I had no idea that the organizers of the seminar would enlarge it and project it on the wall behind for the rest of all other seminars.

“People who think mental health issues are nothing serious, have serious mental health issues!”

    • Thanks for the feedback, Samantha. I think mental health issues, especially anxiety and depression are common amongst the writers. In my opinion, that’s one of the reasons why we write, it’s cathartic to put our feelings in words.
