GENEROSITY

Why is generosity such an important daily wisdom word?  Being generous with others with what you have to give, of yourself or your resources is one of the most Godly things you can be.

Before we go any further, let us take a look at the meaning of generosity in our Webster Dictionary.

Generosity-1.  the quality of being kind or generous.  2.  the quality or fact of being plentiful or large.

Daily Wisdom Word Definition of generosity-The ability to give of yourself, from your heart, or what you have to another.

If I had to pick one of my strongest attributes, I would say it would be my generosity with others.   Not only will I give away material things I still love, and money if I have it, I will give away my time towards listening to them and helping them solve their issues or problems if I can help in any way.

I guess I am this way, because being stingy, is a big pet peeve from me in every way.  I am not saying, we should not take care of our families and ourselves first;  I am simply saying all of us have something more we can give if we simply look inside our hearts and ask ourselves what that is.  some people are generous with their time with charities and good causes in this world.  Some people can afford to give away financial resources to help those less fortunate than themselves.

I feel we all have something we can offer to another or give, if we look within our souls and we should be giving it.  The most selfish people seem to be happy with immediate gratification, but long-term, there is always something missing inside them.  They may not be able to put their finger on what the problem is, but generally they are not exercising their full potential and giving of themselves.

Today, I want you to think about all the abundance you have to offer others.  There is so much more we can do for others if we are willing to make a genuine effort.
