The torment and the Ecstasy that is love

The pain I feel deep within
The walls that hold me back
For the truth that I know but cannot say
My tears flow like the rain down my face
I know but cannot find the words I want to say
My love must know of this burden that I carry
Of the torment and of the ecstasy
The pain must show each time we kiss and turn away
The hugs that are distant and those of great passion
Why my hunger goes unfilled, and I lust for you still
To see me as I am, a shadow on the wall
She knows not who I am or what’s my fate
For death or life is not so clear
Upon the burden, one’s heart must bear
Love is so fluid and fleeing
Time spent in each other’s embrace
Are too few, the love we know can disappear
When two hearts grow apart and go there different ways
Life is not a laid out plan; what you thought would be, May change
But with this struggle deep within my soul
The guiding light and the passion of your heart
To fight the demons that hold me down
To cling to this broken love that burns within my soul
For salvation that I seek will only come with your devotion
