Sunrise holds you in my eyes
septembering memories
playing your guitar
as autumn wounds us.
Locked inside my mind
leftover words
a poem you’ll never read
till you open me up again.
Your music still haunts
sharing what’s in your head
forever goodbyes as
someone else is in your bed.
