BLACK AND PANTHER

IN MEMORY OF CHADWICK BOSEMAN

IĀ  am going to dedicate today’s prompt to an American actor who died on the 28th of August, 2020 due to cancer. Since his death, much has been said about this amazing actor on social media and i must say that Hollywood is crying.

Truth be told, it pains me that he is dead after contributing greatly in painting Africa with amazing colors in the cinema. Let’s get into the prompt before i become too emotional.

  1. Our tears will not stop
    for centuries
    children have grown up scared
    black lives matter.

    America has been asleep
    since the 17th century
    do you love your children
    they are our future.

    Awash in systemic disease
    our country is threatened
    children are watching us
    Black Lives Matter.

  2. We can fondly gaze
    in our tearing haze
    the light of stars
    passing our horizons
    amidst the clouds
    a king in his realm
    beautifying our dreams
    we who lives
    beneath his wings
    can rouse to watch
    the glowing sun
    n hear the lions roar
    as the black panther rise
    in angel’s arms.

  3. There are not enough words
    a true King among men
    fought through his battles
    no words shed
    left a legacy
what little ones dream of in bed.
    I did not know him
    but felt his love
    for life and people
    he always showed up.
    Way to soon
    they called him home
    it’s real fucked up
but the good die young. -Ad (CRG)
