Poetic eyes show me how
they hold onto mine
like past lives yearning
just to feel light again.
I’m dancing in language
words pry open my mind
memories beg for a hello
looking for traces of you.
Your vision mirrors me
like shadows and light
love touches our space
flooding my eyes.

might have been everything
for i meant to go in
the fairy tale version
never been explained
wishing i had wings
once ‘neath moonlight
life took awhile
solo notes drifted
midweek into autumnal dreams
