Absence & Distance

“Absence makes the heart grow fonder.”

Does time apart make you value your partner more?

Though nobody has an exact time frame, today’s quote is speculated to be originally discovered in 1602.

Since then, methods of communication with loved ones that are far away have changed significantly. We can practically talk to anyone anytime in any corner of the world.

Perhaps, if you’re taking your partner for granted or vice versa, a little time apart can be a blessing in disguise.

But in relationships that are smooth for the most part (as no one can be perfect), the value of absence is not nearly what it used to be.

Like many other quotes I’ve previously mentioned, maybe this one too, needs to come with a footnote of when it’s applicable and when it’s not?
