NEVER ENOUGH BY LOREN ALLRED

LYRICS

I’m trying to hold my breath
Let it stay this way
Can’t let this moment end
You set off a dream in me
Getting louder now
Can you hear it echoing?
Take my hand
Will you share this with me?
‘Cause darling, without you
All the shine of a thousand spotlights
All the stars we steal from the night sky
Will never be enough
Never be enough
Towers of gold are still too little
These hands could hold the world but it’ll
Never be enough
Never be enough
For me
Never, never
Never, never
Never, for me
For me
Never enough
Never enough
Never enough
For me
For me
For me
All the shine of a thousand spotlights
All the stars we steal from the night sky
Will never be enough
Never be enough
Towers of gold are still too little
These hands could hold the world but it’ll
Never be enough
Never be enough
For me
Never, never
Never, never
Never, for me
For me
Never enough
Never, never
Never enough
Never, never
Never enough
For me…

GENTLE ON MY MIND BY JOHNNY CASH

LYRICS

Well, it’s knowin’ that your door is always open
And your path is free to walk
That makes me tend to leave my sleepin’ bag rolled up
Stashed behind your couch
And it’s knowin’ I’m not shackled by forgotten words and bonds
And the ink stains that have dried upon some lines
That keeps you in the back roads
By the rivers of my memory and keeps you ever gentle on my mind
It’s not clingin’ to the rocks and ivy
Planted on their columns now that bind me
Or somethin’ that somebody said ’cause
They thought we fit together walkin’
It’s just knowin’ that the world will not be cursin’ or forgivin’
When I walk along some railroad track and find
That you’re movin’ on the back roads
By the rivers of my memory and for hours you’re just gentle on my mind
Though the wheat fields and the coal mines and the junkyards
And the highways come between us
And some other woman’s cryin’ to her mother
‘Cause she turned and I was gone
I still might run in silence tears of joy might stain my face
And the summer sun might burn me till I’m blind
But not to where I cannot see
You walkin’ on the back roads by the rivers flowin’ gentle on my mind
I dip my cup of soup
From some gurglin’, cracklin’ cauldron in some train yard
My beard a roughenin’ coal pile
And a dirty hat pulled low across my face
Through cupped hands ’round a tin can
I pretend to hold you to my breast and find
That you’re wavin’ from the back roads
By the rivers of my memory ever smilin’, ever gentle on my mind

FATE

What exactly is fate?  Does fate determine our future, or do we?  Is fate the same thing as God?  Many people describe fate in different ways, and this article is going to narrow those descriptions down and fine-tune “fate” so we can all understand it better.

Webster Definition of Fate-1.  The development of events beyond a person’s control, regarded as a supernatural power.  2.  The course of someone’s life, or the outcome of a particular situation for someone or something, seen as beyond their control.

Daily Wisdom Word Definition of Fate-those things in life that happen we call, “unexplainable”.  For example, two people meeting, perfect for each other out of the entire universe.

Fate is untouchable, untastable, unseeable, but it is NOT unfelt.  Fate has an extra-special meaning when it does happen. There is something that happened perfectly in this universe and that does not happen often.  I wish I could give you more than a vague description of fate, but I cannot.  Rather than describe the way it looks or tastes, I would like to explain what I believe fate to be.

Fate, in my book is compared to magic, and just as elusive.  It is as if two stars intersected in the sky that were the yin and yang of  one another, shaped exactly alike, and creating enough energy to create an event.  This event is important to a particular person or people in this world, and supersedes our mathematical possibilities or logic.  When fate happens, we never forget it, because we know it was a special gift to us and not likely to happen often.  I like to think of fate as God-Created, because it is supernatural.

Fate is unforeseeable, therefore we cannot plan for it, or its outcome.  What we can do, when we get the opportunity to have fate strike our personal lives, is be grateful for it, and never, ever take it for granted.

If we know there is fate, there has to be a counter-opposite which is when things happen just as extraordinary that are not a positive.  This is when we say things like, “I can’t believe this happened”, or “it just wasn’t meant to be.”

I believe fate to be an “energy” and when two like forms of energy manage to cross one another, we get, “fate”.  Fate is like a rare diamond and just as rare of a find.  Fate is explained amongst scientists as two planes of energy intercepting, and I am saying something similar.  I am adding one step to this explanation, referring to it as a “gift from God”.

We have talked about what fate is, but have not discussed examples of it.  In my own life, I have seen “fate” through the love my son and daughter have found, as of lately, my son.  My son is different.  He has always been the kind of person to know exactly what he wants, even as a child.  He also sticks to what he wants.  He wanted to be an attorney as early as the age of eleven, and of course, that is what he chose for his career field.

My son has a lot to offer someone, and should have been picky when the time came in his life to find, Mrs. Right.  He is also an exceptional person.  He set up a date as all busy people do today, through the internet, and was literally “STRUCK” by fate with who he attracted.  Her name is Colleen and she is beautiful on the inside and out.  She is his yin and he is her yang.  No two people could be better matched, that I have seen in my lifetime.

If you knew my son and how picky he is, you would see why this was so rare for them both to come across one another.  If you met them, you would have no doubt how perfect they are for one another.  There is a sort of chemistry and magic between them you rarely if ever see in life.  I am so happy for him, as the timing had to be perfect too, (which is also part of fate), and it has been.

Thanks so much for reading about fate today.  I hope you understand it better and look and appreciate it like the treasure it is, should it cross your path in life.
