VIOLENCE “DOES THE BRAIN SHOW PREDISPOSITION OF VIOLENCE ?”
Anger is just one of many emotions regulated by our prefrontal lobe cortex and our amygdala. These areas of our brain tie directly into our anger. It appears with a brain scan or MRI, we can at least predict predisposal of violence and anger. Does this mean if we have low levels of serotonin we will be angry? No, but it is an indicator or marker we can use to explain anger in someone when we don’t understand. Our external forces also have to do with anger. If you grew up in a loving, kind household and had loving parents, this may counteract those brain chemicals.
