  1. Life has
    A way
    Of letting
    You hold
    On or
    Let go
    Of things
    You can
    No longer do
    Iโ€™ve recently
    Started writing
    And Iโ€™m older
    Than a some
    But younger than
    A few
    Is it the years
    You live
    Or the life
    Youโ€™ve known
    That makes
    You a writer
    Who knows
    Age is a number
    You can
    Write at
    10 or a
    102
    I hope iโ€™m
    Around at that
    Age to write
    About all of you โค๏ธ
    Namaste

      • I am waiting here for her to be released ! She gets to come home for two weeks-then sheโ€™ll have to go back in the hospital every 21 days for five days for chemotherapy for 6 months! ๐Ÿ˜ขItโ€™s going to be a long hard winter through Covid Thank you for asking๐Ÿค—โค๏ธ I wrote my poem in like two minutes why I was starting at her ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

          • I didnโ€™t think iโ€™ve have time to. But the wheels of hospital release run slow. I wish it was a better poem but like i said i wrote it in 2 minutes ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ Iโ€™m going to do everything in my power to make sure she beats cancer ! Your prayers help Abuh- you are a great friend- thank you ๐Ÿ™

  2. Body aging
    Time passes away
    As I sit here
    With my thoughts
    Of each gone yesterday
    Memories evoke artful feelings
I’ve so very much to say
    So I write them down
    For generations
    That shall come after me
    when my
    Breath is no longer
    In poems my voice
    Will forever stay

  3. Of ages that have found us
thru paths of light and art
    holding us dear
    never letting them go.

    How do we find thoughts
    those days we played
    sandboxing our minds
    so happy to be alive.

    Evening reflection beckons
    infusing our memories
    wild shores of love
such waves still take us back.

    The age of art
    A poet as their poetry
Knowing the connection is the art
Knowing the connection between song and poetry
    Knowing the desire and passion
Let the lyrics of words flow
    Use your observations
    Use your five senses
    Use your emotion

    POEM BY KARL WOMACK

  5. That to which the mind
    yields to is genteel
    to feel in rhymes
    when love binds to
    dissolve in a smile
    whether placidly we cry
    to bleeding moments
    irrelevant with age
    scarlet passion flows
    wishes never gets old
    we write with rage
    in sentences we infuse
    our mercurial moods.

  6. To age is to be a work of art
each line & wrinkle a story
    caught in skin folds
    remembered births and dried placentas.
Busted knees and kisses on booboos
    weddings and funerals
remembering things ain’t what we used to
A new era posted on social media
    no more Sunday dinners
full of laughter, now it’s emojis
can barely see in the corner
would love to know my family
but screen is all I get
to age is to be a work of art
but on this box I can’t see shit. -Ad (CRG)

  7. NO AGE TO THIS ART

Dad said he knew the art well
enough to ring it like a bell
    until i heard its beauty
    and see its fealty.

His vein had the stench of age
It didn’t for a day take like a sage,
    reason, from minds yet virgin
so as not to leave a great margin

in a mind reeking with space.
    My thoughts feigned a why
as he spoke poetry with peace
leaving me in a dazzling sigh.
