DIVERSIONS

Our Daily Wisdom Word today is “diversions”. Before going any further, I am going to give the Webster Dictionary meaning and daily wisdom words meaning.
The Webster meaning of Diversion-1. An instance of turning aside something from its course. 2. An activity that diverts the mind from tedious or serious concerns. (partial).
Daily Wisdom Word Meaning of Diversion: The habit we develop that can sometimes distract us from the course we need to stay on.
Have you ever found yourself in the middle of deep thought, and hear a noise? You realize all you are hearing is the wind outside. You try to go back to that deep thought process and can’t seem to return. You have just been subject to a diversion.
Once your mind is distracted by a diversion, it is difficult to remember the very last thought you had prior to hearing the outside noise.
Often times this happens to me, when I lose my train of thought. Is it the distraction that causes my mind to lose my train of thought? Most likely, but more likely to be a distraction because you were not in a deep enough thought state.
This is why many of us meditate, so we can learn to relax naturally.
Meditation is a form of disciplining our minds and ability to stay on one thought, following it through. Had you been in deep enough thought the wind would not have been a diversion from your thoughts. We must learn to be vigilant with our thoughts and stick to the thought process we are in, especially if it leading somewhere helping you solve a problem.
Diversions can literally be a roadblock. It can also be a word we use to describe our mental state being easily distracted. It is hard to stay focused on a similar thought process without getting distracted if we have an overactive mind.
This is why in order to avoid diversions, you must become vigilant when you get distracted in returning to the same line of thought leading you to some of the best ideas and solutions your own mind can create.
In order to be vigilant with our thought process, one tool we can use to be focused is journaling. With meditation and journaling and much patience, the brilliant thoughts you were having will be part of training your mind to be strong. It also helps with depression and sadness.
When we are aware of a particular thought process we can stop, or start it depending if we wish to be vigilant with those thoughts or steer ourselves into a whole new line of thinking if dwelling on something is past the point it should be. Knowing yourself and your thoughts are two of the most powerful things you can have as tools to be a writer looking at a specific thought process and carrying those thoughts through on paper avoiding writer’s block all together over time.

According to Wikipedia, dyscalculia is a disability resulting in difficulty learning or comprehending arithmetic, such as difficulty in understanding numbers, learning how to manipulate numbers, performing mathematical calculations and learning facts in mathematics.
This disability abounds in children and adults too. One of the perks of having dyscalculia is that there is high retention of words. In other words, children with dyscalculia are great writers. Let us talk about it today.

I BELIEVE FRACTALS ARE FASCINATING AFTER LOOKING AT PICTURES OF THEM. THEY ARE QUITE BEAUTIFUL AND IF I WERE A MATHEMATICIAN, I WOULD PROBABLY KNOW THE FORMULA A COMPUTER USES WHEN CREATING A FRACTAL.
IN THE DEFINITION FROM WEBSTER, FRACTALS REFER TO OUR GALAXY FORMATION ALSO. THIS MUST BE BECAUSE PLANETS SHAPED SO MUCH ALIKE DO REFLECT THEMSELVES OFTEN SMALLER THAN THEY ARE WHEN WE SEE THEM ON P I BELIEVE FRACTALS HAPPEN WHEN PATTERNS REPEAT THEMSELVES BUT CONTINUE TO GET SMALLER.
IF WE LISTEN TO THE SONG THE ARTIST SEAL SINGS, HE USES IT IN A LINE OF HIS SONG, “CRAZY” LIKE THIS: “I SEE YOU BEHIND A FRACTAL IN THE WALL”. I FIND IT TO BE AN INTERESTING CHOICE OF WORDS. FRACTALS CAN ALSO BE COMPUTER GENERATED AND ARE GREAT FOR PICTURES OF MOUNTAINS, WAVES, OR USE OF A FRACTAL IS A GEOMETRIC SHAPE WITH SYMMETRY TO SCALE.
THIS MEANS THAT NO MATTER HOW MUCH IT IS LOOKED AT, IT ALWAYS LOOKS THE SAME, EVEN IF YOU LOOK AT JUST PART OF IT. THIS IS CALLED, SELF-SIMILARITY. TODAY, OUR DAILY WISDOM WORD IS TIES. OFTEN TIMES WE HEAR THE PHRASE, “THE TIES THAT BIND”. OUR LIVES ARE FULL OF TIES, BOTH LITERAL AND METAPHORIC. AS THINGS UNFOLD IN OUR LIFE, SOMETIMES THESE TIES BREAK. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, IT OFTEN IS FOR THE BEST. IF YOU BELIEVE IN DESTINY, YOU MAY FIND THIS CONCEPT EASIER TO DIGEST.
MY THOUGHTS ON THIS ARE ACCURATE FOR ME TO UNDERSTAND WHY CERTAIN THINGS HAPPEN IN LIFE THAT HURT. WE OFTEN DON’T REALIZE THIS UNTIL WE SEE WHERE OUR LIFE HAS GONE DOWN THE ROAD A BIT. WE WILL THEN LOOK BACK AT THOSE BROKEN TIES AND REALIZE IT WAS NECESSARY FOR US TO BREAK THOSE PREVIOUS TIES IN ORDER TO TIE OUR SHOES AGAIN IN OUR PRESENT CIRCUMSTANCES. I BELIEVE LIFE WORKS THIS WAY TODAY.
I AM NOT A PSYCHIATRIST. LOOKING BACK, WHEN I WAS IN COLLEGE, I LOVED DIFFERENT KINDS OF MENTAL OR PSYCHOLOGICAL COURSES. SUCCESSFUL COMMUNICATION AFFECTS EVERY ASPECT OF OUR LIFE. I FEEL IT IS IMPORTANT TO TALK A BIT OVER THE NEXT THREE WEEKS ABOUT HOW WE CAN IMPROVE OUR COMMUNICATION. Communication is often based on not just one given thing. Today our daily wisdom word is interpretation. To start off, let us take a look at interpretation in our Webster Dictionary.
Webster Definition of interpretation-1. The act of explaining the meaning of something. 2. an explanation or way of explaining. 3. A stylistic representation of creative work or dramatic role.
Daily Wisdom Word Definition of ‘interpretation”-1. How well communication is absorbed by the person we are communicating with. the ability of a message to be absorbed. by the person, we are communicating with.
Communication must be strong and clear. Disinformation is communication at its worst. Communication should be delivered in a way that the person receiving any kind of information is able to interpret clearly and concisely. Interpreting a message from someone who passes it along correctly is communication at its finest.
Why is it so important to deliver our message to our audience appropriately? With so much diversity and interpretation available, the technical information we are conveying in a message whether verbal or written our message must be prioritized. My question to you is what you see is the most effective way to transfer your message from yourself to another party? One way we can get our message across effectively is to communicate briefly with this person prior to passing on any communication. One way we can do this is by spending some time with the person, asking how they receive information best. We can ask them how familiar they are with whatever the topic is we are wishing to convey. An example of this would be to ask how one receives information. Do they watch the news? Are they on top of every aspect of what we are going to communicate with them or if this information is new? Do they understand and comprehend information best when reading it or do they understand a message conveyed verbally better?
Part of great communication is educating yourself with the knowledge of how one absorbs your transfer of information or your message best and tailoring your communication into that style of communicating. Great communication doesn’t just occur naturally for 90% of us. Great communication is realizing others interpret information best in different ways depending on who we communicate with. If our “message” of communication is important, it becomes part of our responsibility to communicate our message effectively if we wish others to understand it. This starts with finding out how our audience best interprets our message and communicating in the most effective way possible. Great communicators are adaptable and take the time to understand how and what they can do to make sure their message is conveyed effectively. We practice communication daily in various roles ad if we want this message absorbed best, we take the time to know how our audience is most likely to interpret it. We have a responsibility to get our message across to many different individuals and we must be flexible with how we deliver our message to be our most effective. One way we do this is by anticipating how our audience will interpret communication best and molding how we deliver our message in a group setting or individual setting so our communication is tailored best to our audience and their reception of this information interpreted best. thanks so much for reading. TIMESHARE IS SOLD BY SENDING MAIL TO A PROSPECTIVE CANDIDATE OFFERING THEM SOMETHING OF VALUE (GIFT) TO LISTEN TO A TWO HOUR PRESENTATION. IT WAS THE SUMMER AFTER MY SECOND YEAR OF COLLEGE.
I LEARNED MORE FROM A TRAINING COURSE THE TIMESHARE OWNERS INSISTED ALL SALESPEOPLE TAKE. I UTILIZED THIS KNOWLEDGE OFF AND ON THROUGHOUT MY SALES CAREER LEARNING MORE IN THOSE THREE DAYS THAN THE PREVIOUS TWO YEARS OF FULL-TIME COLLEGE. BETTER YET, IT APPLIED TO MY LIFE AND PROVIDED ACTION TOOLS TOWARDS REACHING MY GOALS IN SALES AND MY PERSONAL LIFE. AFFIRMATIONS ARE VERY POWERFUL. LOU TICE AND THE “PACIFIC INSTITUTE” TAUGHT TECHNIQUES SUCH AS IMPRINTING AS A PART OF A PROCESS TO ACHIEVE GOALS MAKING THEM MY REALITY. GOAL SETTING, WRITTEN AFFIRMATIONS, VISUALIZATION FOLLOWED BY IMPRINTING WERE NECESSARY STEPS TOWARD MY OVERALL SUCCESS ACCORDING TO THE SPEAKER’S TEACHING THE COURSE. HONESTLY, THE FIRST DAY OF THE COURSE I THOUGHT THESE FOLKS WERE A LITTLE “OFF THE WALL”. AS EACH SPEAKER TALKED, I REALIZED THERE WAS SOMETHING AMAZING IN THEIR EYES. THEY BELIEVED IN WHAT THEY SPOKE ABOUT AND HAD ACHIEVED THEIR OWN PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL GOALS.
AFTER THREE DAYS OF TRAINING, I PUT THEIR TECHNIQUES TO THE TEST. MY SALES DOUBLED BY FOLLOWING THESE COURSES AS I USED THE POWER OF SUGGESTION AND REPETITION. I FOUND THAT UTILIZING THESE FOUR STEPS ALONG WITH REPETITION OF THESE STEPS DAILY HELPED ME CULTIVATE A WINNING ATTITUDE, REACHING MY OWN GOALS. WHAT SOME OF US DON’T KNOW IS THAT THE SUBCONSCIOUS IS MORE POWERFUL TO SUGGESTION BY FAR THAN THE CONSCIOUS MIND. FOR EXAMPLE, LOOK AT THE POWER OF HYPNOSIS. WHEN WE ARE HYPNOTIZED, THE TARGET IS TO PUT US IN A RELAXED STATE TO REACH THE SUBCONSCIOUS WHICH FEEDS ON SUGGESTIONS. STEP FOUR, IMPRINTIJNG ALLOWS OUR SUBCONSCIOUS TO WORK IN OUR FAVOR. TO IMPRINT IS TO FEED THE SUBCONSCIOUS WITH THE EMOTIONS WE WOULD FEEL AFTER ACHIEVING OUR GOAL USING AFFIRMATIONS, VISUALIZATION AND YES, IMPRINTING.

I THOUGHT THE FIRST DAY OF THE THREE DAYS LISTENING TO SPEAKERS REPRESENTING THE “PACIFIC INSTITUTE” TAUGHT HOW POWERFUL A POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE WAS AND THE SUCCESSFUL LIFE THESE LIVED DUE TO THE AFFIRMATION PROCESS AND ACHIEVING ONE’S GOALS. TO SUCCEED WE MUST FIRST HAVE A CLEAR AND CONCISE GOAL WRITTEN DOWN. THE SECOND STEP IS TO WRITE IT AGAIN AS PART OF YOUR PRESENT LIFE AS IF IT IS A PART OF YOUR LIFE TODAY. 3. THE THIRD STEP IS VISUALIZATION. WE VISUALIZE OUR AFFIRMATION. WE DO THIS BY FEELING THE EMOTIONS WE FEEL AFTER ACHIEVING THE GOAL, SPECIFIC MENTAL PICTURE OF HOW THIS AFFIRMATION INTEGRATES ITSELF INTO EVERYDAY AND VISUALIZING OUR SPECIFIC SUCCESS WITH THIS AFFIRMATION. IMPRINTING IS THE FINAL STEP, ACTUALLY PICTURING AND FEELING THE RESULTS OF YOUR SUCCESS. THIS ALLOWS THE AFFIRMATION TO IMPRINT INTO YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS AND IS VITAL TO ACHIEVE OUR AFFIRMATION. WE TAKE AND DO THESE FOR STEPS SEVERAL TIMES A DAY.
