INNOCENCE

HAVE YOU LOOKED IN THE EYES OF A CHILD RECENTLY?  SOMETIMES IT IS POSITIVE TO TAKE JUST A MOMENT AND LOOK AT “INNOCENCE” THROUGH THE EYES OF A CHILD.  INNOCENCE IS SOMETHING WE ARE BORN WITH.  INCAPABLE OF COMMITTING SIN, WE ARE BORN WITHOUT GUILT AND A SOUL, PERFECTLY INTACT. INNOCENCE APPEARS TO DWINDLE DAY BY DAY AS WE BEGIN TO AGE.  IN FACT, OFTEN LIFE IS SO DIFFICULT, WE LOSE ALL HOPE OF EVER REACHING OUT TO TOUCH INNOCENCE AS WE ONCE DID.   THE MORE sins we commit, the less innocent we stay.

When I go to church is probably the closest I feel to innocence.  I feel like I have a new direction towards innocence when I go to church.  I feel that my soul gets purified, but prior to this, I feel regrets for all the mistakes I have made. Each mistake or enjoyment we have that is wrong to ourselves, carries literal “weight”.  “No matter how often we tell ourselves what we are doing isn’t hurting anyone, it still harms our soul of it purity.”

The regret I have are from the sins I’ve committed.  Perhaps I have hurt someone’s feelings and haven’t taken accountability for it. Perhaps I have justified my own sin and its burdens. Part of being innocent is being able to exercise forgiveness.  Before you can forgive others, you must learn to forgive yourself.  This requires honesty in your heart. Often the anger we are feeling toward others, is anger misdirected.  Perhaps underneath our blame towards others, we really blame ourselves.  Part of what creates innocence is knowing what simplicity is.  The innocent, our fabric of society, are always honest.  They aren’t capable of telling a lie.  They only know one thing;  how to tell the truth.

My hope for each of us is that we can move as close to innocence as possible.  Have you ever noticed the more simple a lifestyle, the happier people seem?  You see, it is so true that the very things that can bring us pleasure, can often move us away from the feelings of wholesomeness and innocence.  Let us take a look at the definition of innocence now in our Webster Dictionary.

Definition of innocence in the Webster Dictionary-1.  The state, quality, or fact of being innocent of a crime or offence.  2.  Lack of guile or corruption 3.  used euphemistically to refer to a person’s virginity.

Daily Wisdom Words Definition of innocence-the feeling a child has before the process of corruption.

Onc of the saddest things I ever have seen is a child approximately six years old, dressed in clothing barely bigger than that for a toddler in military outfits and a gun they are holding in their hand.  Their innocence they have such a limited time to enjoy anyway, is taken from them.  These children are victims of the saddest situation of all:  Wars they are forced to fight when they are taught to by adults.

There are many ways to rob the innocence of a child.  When I see abuse or what I suspect is abuse with a child, my heart wrenches.  It is so very wrong, and the person administering the abuse is mentally sick themselves.  My point today on writing about innocence is enjoy it.  Relish is the feeling of innocence.  Consider more simplicity with your lifestyle.  The guilt associated with the pleasure we feel when we do something for short-term gain knowing no matter what justification we use that it is wrong, create the consequence of guilt.  Feeling guilt means you know the difference between right and wrong.  This is the opposite of violence.

One  last thing I want to mention is the horrific acts that rob children of their innocence which go on in our world.  An act of violence as part of War is the most common of these violations and atrocities.  The most relevant of these cruelties towards children are the following:  1.  Recruitment of a child into war.   2.  Use of children in war. 3.  children being taught  how to kill. 4. sexual violence imposed on them 5.  abduction of a child. 6.  attacks on children when schools are bombed and hospitals demolished.  We can help to change this.  If each of us simply does one thing, (just one), I believe we can make changes for children helping them  from all six things I just listed.  You get more back than what it costs to give to a charity inside.  Perhaps you don’t have money.  Volunteer your time.  “Time can be our greatest ally or your worst enemy.”  We choose this.

I wish in no way to lead others to believe I give of myself except through donations to charity and what I write.  I take the easy way out with prayer and send money to UNICEF for children, feeling most sorry for those children attacked in Syria during Chemical Warfare ordered in countries such as Syria by the leader of the country himself.  Life doesn’t have to be this ugly.  Let us do all we can to help others in small ways and big.  This is the closest you come to that amazing feeling of “innocence” with each good deed you do.  Do not confuse the feeling of innocence with naivety.  When we come closest to innocence, it is when we take positive action.  Thanks so much for reading.  Samantha Leboeuf

DIVISION “A COUNTRY DIVIDED”

Why is division such an important daily wisdom word?  Division means the opposite of uniting.  We see groups of protesters doing this, but we also see protesters opposing what the other group stands for.  This is division of the people in its worst form.  Division means we cannot stand together.  It also means we no longer can agree to “disagree”.  The news is full of slander for each candidate only making division more aggressive.  There is more aggression between the police and those they are supposed to protect than ever.  So how did this come to be?

Our leaders are our Presidents.  If we see our leaders encouraging division rather than unity, the problem only gets worse.  Unfortunately division has a trickle-down effect.  Therefore, not only is our country divided, our family and friends become the same.  This is the example being put forth by our Leader’s trickling down to a small group.  Black lives do matter and yes, there is more politics and physical harm to black men, especially.  This leads to further division, especially when the courts do not sentence perpetrators appropriately for their crimes.  Death is Death and if that death is unjust, whomever caused it, even in uniform must be punished.

Let us take a look at the meaning of division in our Webster Dictionary and the daily wisdom words definition.

Webster Definition-1.  disagreement between two groups producing tension and hostility.

Daily Wisdom Words Definition-a lack of agreeing on social issues as a whole and separation becomes a large result of division.

The more we separate the weaker the links that held us together to begin with.  Is what we stand for sometimes necessary not to fight for?  This is a powerful question and one I immediately would have agreed with years ago.  I now think there needs to be some space and time between these groups so thought rather than violence and anger is peaceful and this includes those who are responsible to destress a crowd of individuals fired up together on two sides with opposing opinions.  If I personally reacted rather than responded (thinking before action), much of my anger would play out in a productive manner.

Controversy and division are part of a “bigger picture”.  We need to ask ourselves this.  Is the cause we are fighting for greater than the global message we are sending with division amongst all of us.  I feel anger too.  I want so much to write with this anger, but I am doing my very best to see what is best for our country in spite of the leadership message we are getting.  Cutting pay for police officers only creates more isolation.  We are punishing a whole group instead of the individuals responsible for it.  We also need to ask ourselves this.  Do we open our eyes for the “bigger picture”, (our country) or do we close them in spite of what is happening still fighting for our message but in positive, productive methods.

I hope I have been able to get a message across without isolating my readers.  I am NOT saying, don’t fight for what you believe in;  I am saying fight with love in your heart, not anger.  With unity we can do so much.  If we wish to predict the future, we must look at what has worked for us as a nation in the past.  What are your feelings about this post today?  Do you agree or disagree with me?  Before reacting to this message, give yourself a few minutes so logic can override anger.  We must let love be stronger than hatred.  We obviously need to change something and that is a point we can all agree on.

May God bless ALL of you.  Samantha Leboeuf/Daily Wisdom Words

FUTURISM THE NEW WORD FOR UPCOMING NEWS ABOUT TODAY’S WORLD ISSUES

Today we will talk about a new daily wisdom word I bumped into called futurism.   Futurism is a fairly term I was not able to find in my Webster Dictionary version. so for today’s definition, I summed up its meaning used to convey all new medical news, technology and world events.  I thought with COVID-19  being current event, we should explore the upcoming and current events today.  It appears the United States of America is behind in medical news.  In Japan, futurism with wearing a mask seems to have happened in that country years ago.  However, we are so concerned with our “civil liberties”, we forget that not only with the mask protect ourselves, but also protects others from ourselves.  If we look at this, from the standpoint of simple respect, and how many additional individuals have died needlessly because of these “civil liberties”, it is no wonder we have gotten priorities mixed up.

In my world, I hate masks.  I used to be a person who hugged others immediately when meeting them, but I realize for their health safety and my own, futurism has been established.  The proof is in the research itself.  If we wish to have no concern for others, fine.  We should simply stay away from social events altogether.  I know it does affect local small businesses and restaurants and their amount of business.  I think it is important to realize this will not be forever.  There are already some bio-research pharmaceutical companies in phase three of clinical trials.  Once a vaccine is available and proven SAFE, we can resume life as we once knew it.  however, facts and research are just too strong to fight this or take the risk for ourselves and others.

I think it makes it more difficult for us with this being an election year.  In my book, actions have always spoken much louder than words.  When we have a world leader who does not demonstrate actions, even though his words have changed, we still often see our President without a mask.  Make your choices for yourself.  Putting others at risk is simply not safe nor a viable option in our future today.
