Rainbows and Unicorns

Rainbows and Unicorns

Rainbows and Unicorns
Rainbows, doves and unicorns, dreams that I have
On a sea of Sunflowers as far as one can see
In a field that they stand, take my hand and run with me
Like butterflies and hummingbirds through wildflowers let us flee to a place
In a misted of my memories of days long past
Rainbows and unicorns on, pretty dresses with ruffles to wear
A sweet dream where there is no despair for in the dreams there hides the truth
Free of society’s restraint, in dreams, do we dance
In long flowing gowns, we swirl and prance
For you are who you are no matter what people demand
Rainbows and unicorns I hold in my hand
For in the end, what is a reality if not an act to blend into the crowd?
A world of rainbows, unicorns, in place of beauty and grace, a gentle loving world shrouded in lace
Deep in dreams, do I find a path that unwinds through the recesses of my mind to a different time?
For here in my world, we ride two white unicorns on a rainbow path of multi colors
As we crest across the sky a dove by our side
On our way to a place free of judgment and hate
In a long flowing blue gown with white trim lace there, you are on your way to the ball
A uniform all covered in braids, with bright shiny medals
A sash and a high feather hat will judgment I wear
Will dance on the river of music we hear
In a dream free of despair
Over rainbows, we travel on unicorns with wings
Until first morning light awakens me from my dreams!
