This may come as a surprise but I was so caught up in how to simplify the definition of Figures of speech to teenagers who may not have any interest whatsoever in literature. I just have to make an impression. One that’ll jolt their love for the art of figurativeness.

It’s beautiful right? How we flow from one word to the other with ease and fluency until we get to use the full stop. Only that we don’t really ever use the full stop because there’s always more to say. At this point, I really do not know what I am talking. So, feel free to bring back to the topic before I get lost in this.

What if you and I cannot really simplify the art of using figure of speech in writing to little souls, how were they described in LORDS OF THE FLY? Get into the act. Put on your ink and words. We have some describing to do. The words are figure and speech.
