  1. A Sonnet:

    Some sketch, draw, or paint what they see or dream;
    Some sing, dance, or act upon world stages;
Others write ream upon ream of pages
In poetry or prose the thoughts they deem
Worthy of the masses, or those that seem
Most likely to free them from their cages
Constructed with care while the world rages
Rushing by, while they’re pen in hand downstream.
All art has in common some precious things:
    Beliefs or motivations that render
Their products true, returned back to sender
Whether one performs, pens, sketches or sings:
Every work of art shown is torn apart
Love returned by those taking it to heart.

  2. Sunsetting time stole us away
    photographed into love
    lost in tomorrow’s mirage
    I found your goodbye.

    Dark circles find shadows
    painting your smile
    like trees devouring light
    I’m hungry for yours.

    Our songs play me
    like art binds our eyes
    capturing yesterday
    when you someday’ed me.

  3. Beauty of love culminated
    in symphonies of art
    abed you and i pleasure
    flushed delight to
    Spark my hungry eyes..

    Tears of a certain promise
    bedew my exotic smile
    nights splendour into days
    where haloed minds in
    amused verses play.

  4. I am the
    Canvas-
    I paint
    Your amazing
    Heart
    Your influence
    Iโ€™ve put
    On display
    No two
    Artist are
    The same
    I like to
    Think Iโ€™m
    As Colorful
    As the
    Art I portray
    The passion
    I hold
    Makes
    Me bold
    To be
    More passionate
    Than
    The brush
    I hold
    Live your Art
    Youโ€™d say
    Just not in
    A mold
    Break those
    Chains
    Let the colors flow
    And breathe

You honor me Abuh- by using my painting! Itโ€™s my motherโ€™s heart ( metaphorically ๐Ÿ˜Š) she was as colorful and bold as the painting. My poem is what she taught me. Namaste to you all โค๏ธ

  5. The art of love
For it is the love of art
    A picture, a painting, a drawing
    A sculpture, a model moulded
A photograph, poetry on canvas, on paper
    Black and white, colour
    What takes your fancy
