    taking me to the place of my insight.
    The place of morning sadness
    After a long night of adulting madness.

    Taking candy away from a baby.
    “Momma’s child, Daddy’s maybe.”

    Insight.
    Childlike fright.

    where angels in
    conniption rise
    they cradle the minds
    of innocence defiled to
    appease their broken hearts..

    onslaught of doubts
    roaring upon clouds
    rain pours a
    crescendo of sobs
    blossoms wither
    when silence falls.
