INTENTIONS

TODAY’S DAILY WISDOM WORD IS INTENTIONS.  OUR INTENTIONS ARE USUALLY WELL MEANING ONES.  EVERYONE HAS HEARD SOMEONE AT SOME POINT USE THE PHRASE, “MY INTENTIONS WERE WELL MEANING”.   LET US TAKE A LOOK AT THE WEBSTER MEANING OF INTENTIONS AND DAILY WISDOM WORDS MEANING. 

WEBSTER DEFINITION OF INTENTIONS-1.  A THING INTENDED, AN AIM OR PLAN.   THE ACTION OR FACT OF INTENDING.  2.  A PERSON’S DESIGNS, ESPECIALLY A MAN’S IN RESPECT TO MARRIAGE. 

DAILY WISDOM WORDS MEANING OF INTENTIONS-AN IDEA  OR WISH THAT SOMETIMES GETS CULTIVATED AND SOMETIMES DOESN’T.   

INTENTIONS ARE A DESIRE.  I HAVE HAD SEVERAL INTENTIONS, BUT MY WILLPOWER ISN’T ALWAYS THERE.  INTENTIONS, SIMPLY PUT IS “WHAT WE WOULD LIKE TO DO”.  IT MAY HOWEVER, BE A PLAN WHERE THE ACTIONS OF THE PERSON WITH THE INTENTIONS SIMPLY DO NOT COME TO FRUITION.  SOMETIMES, MANY OF US ARE LAX ABOUT OUR INTENTIONS.  WHAT HAPPENS IS BECAUSE THEY VOICED WHAT THESE INTENTIONS WERE TO THE PERSON THEY WISH TO FOLLOW THROUGH ON DON’T HAPPEN. 

WE HAVE ALREADY SHARED THE GREAT INTENTIONS WITH THE PERSON WE WANT TO FULFILL THEM WITH, BUT DON’T HONOR THEM.  THE WORD “INTENTIONS” BECOMES OVERUSED IF ONE ALWAYS HAS THE BEST OF INTENTIONS AND FAILS TO CARRY THROUGH THROUGH ON AFTER PROMISING SOMEONE THEY WILL.  I THINK WE ALL AT ONE POINT OR ANOTHER HAVE MEANT TO KEEP OUR PROMISE WHICH IS WHAT OUR INTENTIONS USUALLY MEAN TO THE PERSON WE VOICE THEM TO. 

HOWEVER, WE END UP NOT FOLLOWING THROUGH WITH WHAT WE TOLD THEM WE COULD DO.  THIS AFFECTS OUR CREDIBILITY WITH THAT PERSON BECAUSE WE HAVE FAILED TO HONOR WHAT WE TOLD THEM WE HAD EVERY INTENTION ON DOING.  WHEN WE HAVE INTENTIONS WITH OTHERS, IT IS BEST NOT TO VOICE TOO MANY OF THEM.   I THINK INTENTIONS WITH OTHERS SHOULD BE KEPT TO OURSELVES UNTIL WE ARE SURE WE HAVE THE CAPABILITY TO FOLLOW THROUGH WITH THEM.  HOW ABOUT INTENTIONS WE PROMISE OURSELVES?   

WITHOUT FOLLOW THROUGH ON WHAT WE WANT TO DO OR OUR INTENTIONS, WE START LACKING TRUST IN OUR OWN ABILITIES.  IT IS BEST TO FULFILL INTENTIONS WHEN THEY ARE ABOUT YOURSELF ON A SHORT TERM BASIS.  FOR EXAMPLE, WE INTEND TO LOSE WEIGHT.  WE SHOULD TAKE THIS ONE DAY AT A TIME.  THIS WAY WE DON’T DISAPPOINT OURSELVES.  IT IS BEST TO KEEP THEM TO OURSELVES UNTIL WE DEVELOP A TRACK RECORD OF TIME FOLLOWING THROUGH WITH THEM FOR OURSELVES.  THE LESSON HERE IS TO FOLLOW THROUGH WITH YOUR INTENTIONS WITH OTHERS AND YOURSELF, BUT  DO NOT EXPRESS THEM IF WE HAVE ARE NOT SURE WE CAN HONOR THEM.  THANKS SO MUCH FOR READING.

CREDIBILITY

TODAY’S DAILY WISDOM WORD IS CREDIBILITY.  BEFORE WE GO ANY FURTHER, LET US TAKE A LOOK AT THE DEFINITION OF CREDIBILITY IN OUR WEBSTER DICTIONARY AND OUR DAILY WISDOM WORD DEFINITION. 

WEBSTER’S DEFINITION OF CREDIBILITY-1.  THE QUALITY OF BEING TRUSTED AND BELIEVED IN.  2.  THE QUALITY OF BEING CONVINCING AND BELIEVABLE. 

DAILY WISDOM WORD DEFINITION OF CREDIBILITY-HOW WE APPEAR TO OTHERS WHEN WE SAY SOMETHING EITHER BELIEVABLE OR NOT.  CREDIBILITY IS SOMETHING WE SEE OR JUDGE WHEN WE SIZE ANOTHER PERSON UP.  WE JUDGE PEOPLE SUBCONSCIOUSLY EVERY DAY AND SIMPLY DON’T REALIZE IT.  FOR EXAMPLE, I SEE SOMEONE WHO WALKS TOWARDS MY SHOP WHERE I SELL EXPENSIVE OUTFITS.  THE CLOTHING IS A VINTAGE LINE BY A FAMOUS DESIGNER. 

THIS PERSON COMES INTO MY SHOP.  SHE STOPS WHEN SHE SEES ME ASKING WHERE MY MOST EXPENSIVE DESIGNER LINE IS.  I SEE SHE IS DRESSED IN SHODDY CLOTHING AND HER HAIR AND FACE AND OVERALL APPEARANCE APPEAR SHODDY.  I POINT TO AN AREA WHERE SHE WILL FIND WHAT SHE SAYS SHE IS LOOKING FOR.  SHE HEADS BACK TOWARDS THE SECTION OF CLOTHING THAT I HAVE POINTED TO. 

HIS SECTION HAS SOME SHIRTS IN ITS COLLECTION THAT COST MORE THAN MY MONTHLY MORTGAGE PAYMENT.  DUE TO THE WOMAN’S OVERALL LOOK, I DO NOT TAKE HER SERIOUSLY.  INSTEAD, I FIND MYSELF WATCHING HER AFRAID HER PLAN IS TO TAKE SOMETHING FROM THIS COLLECTION AND STICK IT IN HER OVERSIZED, SCRUNCHED-UP BAG.  INSTEAD, I SEE HER PULL THREE OF THESE SHIRTS OFF THE PEDESTAL QUICKLY COMING TO MY CASH DRAWER AND PAY CASH FOR THEM.  I MAKE A MISTAKE WE OFTEN ALL DO. 

I JUDGED SOMEONE BY THEIR SURFACE LOOK.  MANY PEOPLE WHO ARE FINANCIALLY SUCCESSFUL CHOOSE NOT TO SHOW IT OFF IN ANY WAY.  I HAVE JUDGED THIS PARTICULAR WOMAN AS SOMEONE BEING UNABLE TO AFFORD MY MERCHANDISE.  THIS PARTICULAR PERSON DOESN’T RESEMBLE MY NORMAL CUSTOMER;  THEREFORE I HAVE JUDGED HER PREMATURELY. CREDIBILITY IS OFTEN SUMMED UP BEST BY A SAYING MOST OF US HAVE HEARD.  “NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER.  THIS IS WHAT I HAVE DONE AS I PREMATURELY JUDGED HER.  WE ALL DO IT TIME AFTER TIME. 

WE JUDGE OTHERS BASED ON HOW THEY TALK, DRESS, CARRY THEMSELVES, AND SO MANY OTHER THINGS.  I SEE HOW THIS HAPPENS AND HAVE OFTEN FELT BAD FOR AN INDIVIDUAL BEING THE ONE TO BE MISTAKENLY JUDGED ALL THE TIME.  THIS IS A CASE I HAVE WARNED OTHER INDIVIDUAl S IN SALES NOT TO DO.  I HAVE JUDGED ANOTHER AND BEEN INCORRECT WITH MY JUDGEMENT.  I KNOW THAT DESPITE MY WARNINGS TO OTHERS, I HAVE NOW DONE THE SAME THING.  THIS HAPPENS TIME AFTER TIME IN OUR LIVES.  WE PREMATURELY JUDGE ANOTHER PERSON.  DO YOU FIND YOURSELF DOING THIS OR HAVING JUDGED OTHERS IN THE PAST PREMATURELY?  DO YOU TRY TO ISOLATE HOW, WHAT OR WHY YOU JUDGED THEM?  SHARE YOUR ANSWERS BENEATH THIS POST IN THE JOIN THE DISCUSSION AREA.  THANKS SO MUCH FOR READING.  Samantha

SINCERITY

Our Daily Wisdom Word today is:  Sincerity.  How does being sincere or sincerity reflect from our character?  Sincerity is a sign that someone has integrity and can interact with others comfortably as who they are.  When someone with sincerity says something or makes a promise, you know they will follow through with their word.  If a person with sincerity is asked a question, you can be comfortable in knowing that they speak the truth.  Truth, integrity, sincerity, are all very important wisdom words.  When one cannot be sincere, sadly, they may also lack rigorous honesty and capability to be truthful.  If we can’t trust in the person one presents themselves to be in every aspect, we assume they lack sincerity. 

Let us take a look at the meaning of sincerity in our Webster Dictionary.  Webster Dictionary meaning of Sincerity-1.  The quality of being free from pretense, deceit, or hypocrisy.

 Daily Wisdom Word Definition of Sincerity-1.  one who is righteous in character, honesty as well as genuine.  

I feel having sincerity is a must when I interact with others. I decide if I wish to be friends with them, have any kind of further interaction with them or have a relationship with them in any capacity based on sincerity.  I feel they must be genuine to be honest.  Because we are all human, when we do make a mistake, by being sincere and taking ownership of this mistake, it leaves the door open for them to remain in a relationship with us if they choose.  A sincere person is one who not only has character, but they are comfortable with themselves and who they are. 

Sincere individuals do they very best to do what is right.  They hold passion in what they believe.  Sincerity has become harder to see or find with others because our world is based on pretenses.  If someone cannot be sincere with you or is not real when they are around you, they may be incapable of sincerity.   showing and having sincerity gives us a message we can respect them.  To expect another to be sincere, we must be sincere ourselves.  Digging deeper into yourself, ask yourself if you are a sincere person. Oftentimes when we are sincere, we anticipate and assume others are as well.  Sincerity is not always a given.  Sometimes when others we care about let us down and can’t own up to it, for example, a lie they may tell us, and this pattern repeats itself, yet we choose to expect them to be sincere, we are choosing to stay in a relationship where we are always disappointed.  It takes “sincerity” to be or have the tools to show who you are at the very least knowing your strengths and weaknesses.  Sincerity is one way we judge others when deciding they have integrity.  I believe having others around you who are sincere, you can interact with them on a deeper level.  Ask yourself how you rate your own sincerity.  Are you real with others?  Are you truthful?   When you make a mistake, can you own up to it, learn from it and not repeat it again?  These are all very important questions and qualities to admire when we meet the individuals who have sincerity.

SIGNATURES

WHAT MAKES YOU SPECIAL?  WHAT IS YOUR SIGNATURE?  YOUR SIGNATURE IS THE UNIQUE TOUCH AND PERSONALITY YOU HAVE…WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT, BUT OUR SIGNATURE IS WHAT CONFIRMS IT.  WE USE A SIGNATURE TO DETERMINE ONE’S PROOF OF IDENTITY.  I AM USING IT AS EVIDENT PROOF WE ARE ALL UNIQUE AND SPECIAL.

If you are not comfortable with who you are, it is hard to share your own personal signature with others.  Remember;  Signatures are one of a kind, and so are you.  How do we figure out our own personal signature?  How do we share this with others?  For example, my brother has an amazing sense of humor.  It is “his signature”.  It makes up the part of him that stands alone and can’t be copied by anyone.  His humor, although he often uses you to make the joke, is honestly funny.  At first, it is hard not to take his humor to heart if you are a sensitive individual.  Once you get used to it though, you find yourself laughing hard, right along with his audience.  

Which part of your personality is “one of a kind”?  I know for myself, I have the ability to make others feel good about themselves.  Although I may first appear insincere with many compliments, when others get to know me, they feel my sincerity and understand the good I see in them, is the good that exists within their heart.  I would call this my “personal signature”.  I know my best friend also has her unique signature.  She has a way of giving advice in such a logical way that you do see her point, no matter how much you may not want to. 

My daughter has the kindest side of her with others, always thinking of what she can do to make them feel happy, in spite of her own needs.  She manages to make time for it all and her “personal signature” is her ability to be kind, sincere and giving of her time.  

Let us take a look at the Webster Definition of a “signature”.  

Webster Definition of signature-1.  a person’s name written in a distinctive way as a form of identification in authorizing a check or document or concluding a letter.  2.  “A distinctive pattern, product, or characteristic by which someone or something can be identified”.

Daily Wisdom Words Definition-A quality that is distinctive in one’s personality, so unique, they are the only one who has this quality in the capacity of how it is displayed.  

I think at this point, we all should take the time to make a list of all the qualities within ourselves that make us “one of a kind”.  Often in life, we have trouble learning who we really are when we lay our cards down.  Much of this has to do with “fear”.  Fear and past trauma can cause us to withdraw.  Oftentimes, others miss out on seeing who it is that distinguishes you from anyone else.  

By listing your unique qualities, you will start down the road of finding out who you are and what makes you special.  Often, we are not aware of our own unique strengths until life throws us a “curveball” and we are forced to see what we are made of.  I have a feeling we all have more good within our heart and soul than we realize.  Thanks so much for reading about signatures and being “one of a kind”.  Never doubt that you are special.  You may need to do some self-discovery and ask others who you trust, what they think makes you special, unlike any other individual in this world.
