CARE AND EMBRACE

I’m dedicating this prompt to our dear Samantha’s sister who passed away after struggling with cancer. In times like this, it is pertinent to care and embrace one another.

If you are reading this, then, one way or another you’d know Samantha Lebeouf and the lovely things she has been doing over the years.

I’d like you to take time out to;

    ‪How can I ever‬
    ‪Care again ‬
    ‪When you took‬
    ‪My soul‬
    ‪My best friend ‬
    ‪As I lay in‬
    ‪In my tears
    ‪I think ‬
    ‪She’s not here‬
    ‪To get me

    ‪She is the
    One I
    Need to embrace
    To save me
    From this
    Crippling pain

  2. Sorrow sorrow be my cradle
    Sway my grief to rhapsody
    Sail this gloomy shadow
    Lonely shore melancholy

    Curb new enthusiasm
to forever hide my love away
    Islands of desperation
    Embraceable held at bay

Edge of heart, break to my door
Sail me home to embraceable shore

  3. (Never done one of these, hope this is ok) . . .

How can such a free sky,
Gaze at such a caged thing?

I am merely a shadow, shivering in silence.
    I only care and embrace,
When the bold ember of the sun,
    Melts inside itself, brilliantly
Glaring its eye of fire at the enemy.

    I am the beholder,
And the eye’s glare burns my shadow to ash,
    An ascended master bleeding,
    Into corruption,
A confine corroded by dark bloody walls,

    As a man cannot climb,
When not even the sun can find me

  4. Your rain falls like scattered words
    playing on my mind
    they find frozen tears
    hiding beneath these struggling eyes.

    Dewdrops misting morning’s gaze
    embrace memory’s sorrow
    caught by her swift undertow
    I’m drowning inside yours.

    Heartbroken left weeping for you
    you’re still by my side
    holding my sad hands
    sharing your beautiful.

  5. She’s in every breath you take
    in the clouds above
    and in words of love
just put your hand on her memories
for in your heart she sleeps
and your soul … her keepsake
    I’m thinking of you
    and praying for you too
    remember even though unseen,
    she walks beside you
    for she loves you
and those feelings never go away
    my heart is with you
God has you both in his keeping
    …care…
    Love you, Samantha! xx

  6. Her scented grace
    holds your tears n pain
    as she sleeps with stars
    lighting up the sky
    hold your breath in
    dawn’s prayer to welcome
    the wellspring of love
    of the golden sun
    embrace the warmth for
    she blooms in the kindest
    care of your broken heart.

  7. SHED IT NO MORE

    Don’t cry!
    Remember the jokes
    You refused an embrace.
    Remember the delicacies
I made with care just to
See the happy art of a smile
    that’s worth more than diamonds.
    Remember all the good times
    We shared alone with words
    Describing our yearly encounters.
Wipe off the salt in your eye and
    Remember all of that
So I can smile in peace.

  8. Care & Embrace
    A smile on your face
Your touch makes my heart race
Passion like ice, desire like fire
Watch love entwine in the scent of a rose
Enveloped in petals in her dew kisses nectar

  10. You are
    Gone but
    Never forgotten
    My caring
    Has only doubled
    I embrace
    Your soul
    As you depart
    For heaven
    Forever my
    Love
    Will I always
    Remember
    The way you
    Touched all those
    Hearts and souls
    You’ve met
