CONSIDERATION

Why is it so important to be considerate towards others?  Why should you use careful consideration when making a decision?  Let us take a look at the meaning of consideration in our Webster Dictionary:

Consideration-1-Careful thought, typically over a period of time.  A fact or a motive taken into account in deciding or judging something.  3.  a thoughtfulness and sensitivity toward others

Daily Wisdom Words Definition-1.  A feeling towards others of putting their thoughts and needs before your own needs aned considerations.

Consideration is very important and something we should use toward others by putting their thoughts and needs first.  I would like to think I am a considerate person, and do my best to be, but sometimes, I put my own needs first, therefore being selfish with my own needs.

Think about road rage and why it happens.  If every driver were considerate toward others, there would not be road rage.  Another reason to be considerate with others, is it is a direct reflection on who you are and should come natural to us.  However, that is not always the case.

The most considerate people I know are my children.  They are the first to give up their seat to another person in need of one on a bus or train.  They also are the first to let another pass before them in a line, and find it rude when someone cuts a line, and I would like to think they learned that from me.

Being considerate of others is not something we think of everyday, but perhaps we should, as this is what makes us stronger and better individuals.  It is one thing that could make a huge difference in this world if everyone were just a bit more considerate.  We would find ourselves in a better place morally, ethically, and emotionally if we all could be just a bit more considerate.
