As of this writing, (12:51 PM CT) most of America has been glued to their TV sets, phones, computers and/or any other device which will inform them updates about the presidential election. Even those that haven’t have at least been holding their breath and on their toes while going about other daily tasks. And theses emotions are normal as there is no doubt, a lot at stake. But as we all grapple with what I’ve termed “election anxiety,” we should remember that the fate of individual happiness does not, nor should it, begin and end with one person no matter who wins.

Today's Daily Wisdom Word is telegenic.  Telegenic means "suited for television".

Have you ever watched a show and gotten so caught up in the subject of the television show you forgot you were even watching a show at all?  Instead, you were standing right next to the characters inside the television screen? One thing it also means is the characters are great actors.  They are telegenic;  so suited for television and the character they play.  Telegenic also can mean you watching the show and getting lost in the show itself.

I think a lot of being telegenic has to do with how well the actor plays the character.  You will find yourself watching this same show over and over again;  Why?  because it does not feel like a television show at all.  It feels like those same actors are just more of the same character.  Have you ever heard the word telegenic before?  This word can only be applied to people watching a show or actors in the show.

Telegenic actors especially apply to newscasters and anchors. Telegenic means for them having their hair and makeup one for the set. Why did I pick this word today?  Because I know if I don't know about a word, I am not the only one.

The word originated from the 1930's and we don't hear it often since that era.
